A million dollars is probably just the catering budget, tbh. I don’t even know what this company does, I just saw that no one else had pointed this out. It sounds like I’m lucky to not use their software.

Every company is just firing employees left and right and I’m not sure what they all expect to happen. I guess just through the magic of AI they can have less workers do more for the same pay. But damn, so many people let go all over the place.

Yet they can sponsor an F1 team.

There are some great resources being posted, but I would like to offer a different one. MyAnonaMouse is a private tracker just for books and book adjacent things (comics, audiobooks, even radio shows) and at least at the time I was looking was said to be the best spot. It wasn’t hard to get in, the rules are VERY lenient and it’s quite easy to build up a large ratio with their points. As long as you are comfortable with using torrents and are able to leave them running to share the love with others I have yet to find a book unavailable. Feel free to ask about MaM if you have any questions.

It’s a call-out post of a specific user including their username in which many comments are disparaging that user specifically. The post may not be calling for any action or inciting any harrasement directly, but lots of comments here are bordering on some pretty heavy vitriol for someone typing differently. I can’t make a post complaining about someone typing in German. It’s the Internet, you will encounter people doing things in different ways than you are used to, even for reasons you think are stupid but that doesn’t make it ok to create entire threads directing hate toward someone.

And before anyone asks, “apparently the t key doesn’t exist for some people, reading this shit gives me an aneurysm.” Is definitely coming from a hateful place. If you disagree then replace “the t key” with “English” and see if that feels right.

I’ve seen vastly more comments complaining about it than I have seen comments using it, just block them and move on.

This is the single most innocent quirk I have ever come across, if it stops you from sharing in the discourse you must not have had much to say in the first place. Seriously, our world is so fucked up that one person choosing to use an old letter for fun or personal enjoyment is sooooo far down my concerns list. You might as well be worried about what color shirt they are wearing right now.

I just wanted to say thank you for the spoiler. I have arachnophobia though regular spiders only kind of weird me out unless they are like coming at me. But anything even remotely more than that and I wouldn’t be able to handle it. I choose to live my life believing scorpions are fake for example. Anyways, thanks for hiding the scary picture on the internet when you didn’t have to.

I had a computer class that was fairly self guided, do projects and tell the facilitator how it’s good for community or whatever. All I would do when she walked by is go to hackertyper and tell her I was coding.
