I see lots of people on the left type “punch a Nazi” online but then never learn to throw a punch or lift any weights and shit on self defense culture like martial artists or even gun ownership. Punching people is not something you just do. Especially to people with Nazi mentality who probably gone their whole lives feeling anti social and waiting for a leftist to engage them.

Not saying this to discourage but to say go learn to punch Nazis and embrace being a fucking Nazi punching bear of a person

I’ve only not punched a Nazi because I don’t live in America and they’re usually around the very southern part of the country while I live in the northeast. Plus, being a Nazi here is illegal.

Right the people saying they’ll punch a Nazi are also people who have run to Lemmy as their sole social media because they don’t enjoy being in conflict all the time with other people who disagree with them.

The people that go nazi I have often are usually people who thrive in conflict. It’s like a weird attention seeking thrill thing.

The left was/is stupid to let the right dominate the firearms and martial arts space. I have been doing martial arts for more than a decade, and have shot a few hundred rounds. I even own some weapons that I can legally (living in EU). Next year I’m going to a 3 days combined firearms training with an also leftist friend. There is no reason we can’t or shouldn’t do these kind of things

Part of me is so done with humanity I feel like a lot of these kids deserve the consequence of being self-absorbed and undisciplined.

That’s understandable, considering the amount of propaganda that has always been generated about the kids these days. The best propaganda has a grain of truth in it, and preys on the fear that you’re being taken advantage of, that your efforts are for naught.

There will always be ignorant people, there will always be lazy freeloaders, there will always be room for improvement. If you feel this means some people do not deserve solidarity, you cannot expect others to stand with you, and this is how the left crumbles.

If the internet is making you lose faith in humanity, you should get off the internet.

okay, lesson here: you see those two big knuckles? those are your punching knuckles. you punch with those. you punch with the other two you’re gonna break your hand. line those up with the big bone, you got a good fist. now at least you can throw a punch without completely breaking yourself.

I see lots of people on the left type “punch a Nazi” online

“punch a Nazi” reads better than a more realistic “throw a feeble, limp-wristed nudge that hardly registers at a nazi that leads them to innocently ask whether you need their attention for something”
