For this Friday Movie Night, first up is All That Jazz (1979), starring Roy Scheider as a theatre director whose self-destructive behavior makes his life spiral out of control. Director is Bob Fosse, otherwise known for Cabaret (1972). It received several Oscar nominations and is now regarded as one of the best American films of the 1970s, currently sitting at #138 on the Letterboxd Top 250. After that is Kamikaze Girls (2004), which appears to be pretty much a live-action cartoon. It concerns a young lady into wearing frilly period dresses who is seduced into the delinquent arms of a girl biker punk. Chicks proceed to rock. This has an extremely high Letterboxd rating, so let’s give it a whirl. This is one of the best-regarded ffilms of director Tetsuya Nakashima, who is otherwise best-known for Confessions (2010).

We’ll start at 9PM EST on Hextube, right here: https://live.hexbear.net/c/movies
