Make sure to buy loads of guns as well, make sure they pay attention to you. If you buy enough stuff they’ll come around and investigate you and then you’ve made a new friend. Pro-Life tip.

When the Charlottesville Unite the Right riots happened, I just began to wonder if I could find the average Nazi on Facebook. Like not Bitchard Spencer or any of the prominent figures, but just average Joe Blow imperial Wizard types. I just began searching for more minor figures, and began linking them all together one by one, and began reporting all their Nazi posts to Facebook and getting their accounts nuked. I was SO good at it and they began to get really paranoid. One night on Ambien I decided to make an account and begin friending them, and little by little it took off. I’ve never had to participate in any Nazi shit, I just allude to “our beliefs” once in a while. Then I began collecting all their photos and putting them on r/beholdthemasterrace so they could be endlessly mocked. Even though they are VERY not social media literate and Facebook is about the maximum they can do (some of them did make it to VK because it’s much less censored but that’s it), one of them did find his picture on there and complained to the Reddit admins who banned me (lest you think Reddit doesn’t support Nazis, they sure do).

Anyway I have a few journalism friends who do work in right wing extremism and I began just to give them information, and met more and more and began helping them with it. I got involved with antifa and we do this in a much more organized way now. We have outed a lot of them to their jobs. We got a Nazi dishonorably discharged from the military, and we catfished Enrique Tarrio into sending us a dick pic.

Re the FBI: three of the White Lives Matter dingdongs were driving to random college campuses in their state and dropping Nazi flyers all over it in the middle of the night as well as defacing the postal office and other dumb shit, so my alt told the local cops who they were and they were arrested, and they connected me with a joint task force agent, and we talk a lot and I give him information when I have it. They are not an organized bunch by and large and most of their shit is really petty but I like having them show up to wherever they are doing their dumb three person protest and have a cop waiting for them. He doesn’t know my real name but everything I have given him has turned out to be true so we have a good relationship; I even found him a few January 6 rioters, including the wife of a deceased prominent Nazi who died in prison who brought his ashes to scatter some in the Capitol building. Pretty wild. I’ve been doing it for ten years next year.

When you say “When you say Nazis, you mean actual nazi nazi, or anyone who doesn’t politically agree with Lemmy.worlds world view? I get you’re joking, tho personally, I find the whole nazi thing stupid personally (tho in Scotland you wouldn’t be calling people Nazis unless to be funny). Also as I learn more about history, I see as simplifying the fact Nazis werent the only bad guys. The only technical good guy with the allies was kind of America (at least initially) all the European ally nations (specially, UK, France, Belgium and Netherlands) were all evil nations that did “nazi like things for longer and then more brutally” Bad enough, Britain had “operation legacy” to essentially burn or destory all colonial documentations of crimes. Are Nazis the bad guys because they uniquely awful and despicable? Or is because they killed white Europeans and wanted to create a new empire that opposed the hegemonic power of UK and France. The whole “we did it for the Jews” I don’t buy, the same Europe that persecuted them for years and had been banned or in ghettos in most nations. Do you really think they’d have such a war over a people they despise so much?

Nazis were always like “normal people” in my mind. You might say any single one was nice, loved their family and pets and neighbors, made funny jokes and beautiful art, they’d give you the shirt off their back, invite you to a BBQ, stubbed their toes in pain like us, etc. They just had these certain traits where when stressed, they felt relieved by populist, xenophobic, masculine/warlike rhetoric, which snowballed.

With that I’m probably more lenient towards people being called Nazis because I’m not looking for a literal 1:1 match anyways.

I agree that we’re simplifying that era, feels like we’re taking a snapshot of a continuous process. Nazis (or other groups from other eras) are like the extremes or model specimen of how we perceive the period. Nazis were green as fuck in a green era, America was emerald, UK was lime, Japan was chartreuse, it just blends out to a spectrum.

I think part of me is a bit pleased with myself that I’ve managed to fool them so thoroughly that it seems sort of funny as well while I do it, but it is also hard. They’re all very insecure, they have zero hobbies or interests, like not even sports or TV, and they all just seem to have no emotional connection to anyone really. For some reason their pets are ALWAYS dying, like at least once or twice a week one of their pets die, and it’s because they don’t take care of them. They mostly all have shitty jobs, although one is a physician assistant and one is an editor at Pluto TV, but the rest are pretty marginal. That makes them wildly pathetic in my eyes, and that overshadows their hate. I think of them as lead babies, they’re just so emotionally blunted.

In another thread someone said the fbi could seize their hardware as part of an investigation as it would contain evidence. Here’s what I’m wondering though, why wouldn’t the fbi just set up their own Lemmy instance. They’ll have access to all the same info. Except for PMs I suppose.

It doesn’t need to be a big instance. It just needs to link with them. In fact it’s better if it never shows up in posts or comments at all. Just send those tendrils out to every instance they know of and let their data tools filter through it all.

        Maybe they already have

They like to focus effort and money on anything but the real people causing harm. School shootings are a near daily occurrence in the US…

Trump still isn’t in prison and his degenerate crew already embraced declaring themselves domestic terrorists, as their banner stated, and he’s now going to be president….

So if any fbi are, maybe think about that; what you are serving and what they really think about you

The G is followed by an I, making it “soft” in Italian, so Mangione could sound sort of like mansion-eh.

Also a lot of places police work pays a really nice wage with opportunities for nearly unlimited overtime.

My local metro PD has what’s called “secondary work” where various (large) venues will hire off-duty officers to essentially stand around and be present. Those jobs regularly pay $50/hr and you get to see events for free. These guys rack up insane amounts of “secondary work.” It’s a total racket, a few years ago there was as scandal with a guy working secondary work *while on duty," it’s wildly open to abuse and the police hierarchy protects everyone at every step.

Ignore the other one I fucked up and hit reply with like 2 words.

Anyways its openly corrupt but it is also open to breakdown. The Deputies in my county are only nominally under the sheriff and more or less work as watchdogs on the police themselves. There are also instances where folks who were propagandized end up in the police system but are effectively sleepers against them.

My point is that the police are probably a lot weaker when it comes to unity than we often times think. Frankly speaking if this turns into an open class war I suspect that the police will splinter hard.

I have first-hand knowledge of the workings of my local metro PD is the only reason I referenced them but you make a valid point that they don’t all like each other. In my local PD at least (and I imagine a lot of others) it’s hyper political. People try very hard to attach themselves to up-and-coming command officers to try to become a sort of right hand or assistant (while still being badge carrying LEO) to them.

It’s extremely hierarchical, it’s not uncommon for peoples parents and grandparents to have been cops and institutions like that definitely have a memory. People spend decades finding their little niches and if you step on the wrong toes you may get screwed over before you understand what’s happening, it’s an extremely toxic place filled with assholes and psychopaths lol.

Kinda sounds like the Roman bureaucracy, specifically the Eastern Roman or Byzantine bureaucracy. Bunch of cut throat motberfuckers who all hate eachother and are only not actively killing eachother because their mere existence is putting them under pressure preventing collapse. But just like said system all it takes is the right external factors to force said collapse.

The whole thing of “they took him for Burger King” is a red herring. Cops are required to feed you. Some departments have policies about always checking if a new arrestee is hungry, and getting them some fast food if they say yes, so their attorney can’t say later that they were coerced during questioning because they had been denied food for whatever amount of time.

That’s the terrible secret. It’s not that the big guy doesn’t care about the little guy. It’s that they have their own agenda and our only purpose is to be sacrificed to that agenda.

Roof was rewarded because he did what the state wanted, if they could have gotten away with it they’d let him off like they did Zimmerman and Rittenhouse.

Don’t even think about rescuing your hero that we’re parading out here. Because we have like, 10 armed police and that means we’re able to take on at least um, hold on, let me count…

Three rescuers. Ten armed police are enough for 3 attackers, if we’re in flack jackets.

Actually, make that two attackers…and they can only have knives and rocks.

It’s ok. They think they’re intelligent, but also think that machibe learning models can’t be biased. They have no self-awareness, and are incapable of understanding that they don’t know what they’re talking about.
