Not just in this country.
Not just in this country.
Yes, it’s plenty with properly conditioned citizens that take it upon themselves to be informed. That’s not the current state of the US.
He’s taxing corporations and reducing wealth for their shareholders too.
Increasing the corporate minimum tax rate to 21% to align with the global minimum tax rate. Implementing a Billionaire Minimum Tax of 25% on the wealthiest taxpayers to ensure the top 0.01 percent pay taxes on their income as they go, just like everyone who earns a paycheck.
Raising the tax rate on corporate stock buybacks from 1% to 4% to reduce the differential tax treatment between buybacks and dividends and encourage businesses to reinvest profits in their workers and in the company’s growth.
Denying corporate tax deductions for employee compensation in excess of $1 million paid to any employee by both publicly and privately owned C corporations.
They already were favoring the defense by designating them the experts. The Chevron Deference was determined when the court ruled that they should defer to Chevron’s expertise when they were defending their case, since no one understood the field as well as they did.
It’s just trading one broken system for another. Both are completely asinine and corrupt.
Sort of. Chevron wasn’t good either. It put the expertise on the corporations in the field. The way to correct it would be to put expertise on the regulating bodies, like the EPA.
For those that actively seek out news, probably. Most Americans only consume the news that is fed to them. She’s currently not polling any better than Biden as an alternative.

That’s my point. Four months is not enough time to get through all of the mud-slinging and come out with a clear impression of a candidate. The candidate and their policies would have to already be well known by US citizens to ensure a win in that time. She’d have a much better chance campaigning in 2028 with a longer runway.
Really? The most hated in decades? The only good thing I can say about Pence is that he finally decided to speak against Trump after the insurrection.
He’s such a piece of Christian Nationalist trash he attracts flies.
With a four month campaign runway, no less. I’ve been asking that since the debate. Calling for him to step aside without a better candidate is just reactionary sensationalism. Show me credible and sizable polls that take Trump by a landslide and I’ll be calling for him to step aside too. Until then, this intermittently confused old man did a lot better with his four years than Trump.
Planning additional support for Ukraine is a given. I’m surprised there’s no mention of Taiwan or the Philippines in the article. He’ll definitely be pulling out of the Taiwan Strait and South China Sea to give control to Xi.
No joke. I’ll never forget when I saw the episode on how Eratosthenes correctly estimated the circumference of the earth with sticks and shadows. It completely blew my mind!
I’d agree with you, but much of the younger generation didn’t have the pleasure of growing up with him. Many youngsters only know him as the “pale blue dot” guy.
If they include Sagan as Tyson’s predecessor, then why not Nye’s predecessor, Mr. Wizard?
Exactly. My daughter will die one day. I vote and protest for climate friendly policies because I want her to die of old age instead of starvation due to widespread famine.
You can’t expect to wield supreme executive power just 'cause some compromised Justice threw immunity at you.
Maybe it would work if they played round robin instead of winner stays on.
There have been several polls of Kamala vs. Trump. She barely surpasses Biden in some when the poll brings “fitness” into question, and polls worse than Biden in experience. That’s the real problem.
You right. I think it’s reactionary nonsense to be calling for him to pull out of the race without a stronger candidate on the bench.
The US was downgraded to a developing nation.
The U.S. currently ranks 21st on the United Nations Development Program’s index, which measures fewer factors than the sustainable development index. Good results in average income per person – $64,765 – and an average 13.7 years of schooling situate the United States squarely in the developed world.
Thanks. I think I need a song for that and Burma/Myanmar. I never forget now it’s Istanbul not Constantinople.
That’s true. Password managers like Keychain will circumvent key logging software, but other data entered could be logged.
