35 years ago her sitcom was not almost cancelled because she’s a lesbian, it was a terrible sitcom and was probably going to be cancelled anyway. Then she came out and bought another year for the show because the network didn’t have the appetite for looking as if they cancelled her show BECAUSE she was gay. If it was actually funny enough to be talked about on its own merit fine, but it wasn’t good.
I am just meow learning that she hadn’t already quit.
