DRS numbers are based on Cede & Co from now on.

We do NOT know the true DRS count as GameStop will never directly implicate Cede in a crime, nor would Cede ever send a bigger number than they should.

People saying the movement has “fissiled out” are intentionally misleading you. Lemmy is filled to the brim with inorganic anti-GME rhetoric. Esp Lemmy.world content (anti-GME, anti-DRS, anti-NFT, anti tokenized securities)

We’re at upwards of 85-90M DRS per the bot which has been incredibly accurate so far.

I was correct that this quarter would “barely move” upward. We’re at the CUSP of the math not mathing out on Cede’s end.

Whoops, I think you may be misinterpreting the spreadsheet and graph I put together. I’ll rename the labels some and pick a less “Computershare purple” color in this week’s graph to clarify more.

I wanted to highlight that just 200k Computershare accounts owned 75.5 million DRS shares. And these 200k CS accounts also have a conservative 25% more shares stuck in IRA accounts (not DRS’d). So 75.5 million DRS’d and 18.9 million stuck in IRA accounts. Rather than 85-90 million DRS’d in Computershare.

I was trying to convey that just 200k CS accounts hold 75.5 million DRS and 18.9 million in IRA accounts. And the “remaining 62 million shares” likely doesn’t add up if we think about the total number of retail brokerage, margin, and IRA accounts holding GME.

Pointing out that Lemmy is a software app. Anyone can install it on their own server or join an instance that’s already up.

The content is separate, unlike Reddit there is no typical Lemmy poster profile, other than more technically and privacy oriented than a Facebook slave.

Just like how blogs on wordpress might be different and say different things. Wordpress is downloadable from wordpress.ORG and you install it yourself. Or you pay wordpress.COM to host your blog for you. The content has nothing to do with wordpess, it’s just a posting tool.

Likewise with this Lemmy instance very likely. The admins could have been more crafty and called this subdomain larry or hetty, or even Sue after that boy in the Johnny Cash song. Then it would have been harder for Reddit admins to find and quash links to it since they are just dumb stormtroopers. The admins here could still do that with Domain Forwarding if they wanted to. And they could keep adding more forwards to baffle the myrmidons.

@[email protected], have you considered what this user is proposing? It would make sense that if you obfuscated a forwarding link, we could bring more people over from Reddit.

They at least can’t auto-ban the links right-out.

Reddit accounts w/ this much karma cost MAYBE $20, I’m willing to throw water on the SS fire if it makes people wake up about DRS.
