hmm so you are un-amused by un-necessary hyphens. i don’t un-derstand why.

In 1876 a Victorian banker “decided to release into the wild a pair of grey squirrels he had brought back with him from a business trip to America. Other landowners, viewing the non-native species as a fashionable garden novelty, soon followed suit.”

i can’t think of a better way to get shy kids to engage and learn than to figuratively put them on a pedestal in front of the whole class and have them demonstrate that they don’t know the answer.

i have had SMR drives slow to about 2MB/s with sustained sequential writes. “noticeably bad” really undersells how terrible they are.
the 3.5" barracuda disks are SMR. the barracuda pro disks are all CMR. https://www.seagate.com/products/cmr-smr-list/
not OP but the moon was to the Northwest around a heading of 300° and the moon is in this picture

this website has videos, they’re still 4MB slideshows. OP’s slideshow and the ones in this link are made using pictures from the GOES-east geostationary weather satellite. it takes a picture of the same half of earth about once every 10 minutes 24/7/365. 1 picture every 10 minutes over the whole 4 hours of the eclipse will be hard to turn into something smoother than a slideshow

another part of the site has jpgs of the whole hemisphere and zoomed in areas of the US and Canada in different sizes up to 21696x21696px. you can get recent pictures by clicking the download images link. it only has images going back about 10 days so if you want to get eclipse pictures from there you need to get them by April 18 2024. maybe someone else with more video making ability and motivation than me can turn the super big pictures into a super big slideshow.
When I made a fresh install of windows 11 a few months ago I used this tool. The readme says it works on windows 10 but I’ve never tried it myself on 10. https://github.com/LeDragoX/Win-Debloat-Tools
When I got rid of edge on windows 10 a few years ago I think I booted into a live linux USB stick and deleted or renamed the edge directory. Maybe that doesn’t quite fit the definition of uninstall but the end result was edge couldn’t run afterward which is what I wanted.
I don’t remember if disabling edge updates is part of the debloat tools or if I did this myself, but the tasks starting with MicrosoftEdgeUpdateTask in Task Scheduler are disabled now on my system. Method 3 of this guide shows how to find those tasks. https://www.askvg.com/how-to-disable-or-remove-microsoftedgeupdate-exe-process-running-in-task-manager/
i uninstalled edge. that solved most of my edge related problems.
