The problem with the Norwegian julebord tradition is that it is not only used for eating nice Christmas food, but it’s also just as common to use it as an excuse to get very drunk.
Coworkers getting very drunk together also tends to be a bad idea in general, and the julebord tradition is known to have many controversies. Not only is it the most likely place for someone to hook up with a coworker, but it’s also known to be a breeding ground for workplace conflicts and sexual harassment.
I’ve never tried RISC-V but I still need my fix!
I used it way back but haven’t found anything comparable after going FOSS only. I miss the adaptive wake-up window.
There’s more cocks on YT than I expected.
I can daily drive linux just fine on 3060ti, the Ollama CUDA AI acceleration works without a single issue straight out of the box.
I do want to be able to game on my main rig though, but that’s what I have a laptop with an Intel low-end integrated GFX card for.

Sure, but if CLI is for advanced users and the community points towards CLI for changing the GUI language, is changing language an advanced task? Is the community making it more difficult/intimidating than necessary?
In my case I had to pull the language data AND use a TUI configuration to change language. No biggie for someone who’s comfortable with CLI, an unsurmountable hinder for those not comfortable with the terminal.
inb4 “Why didn’t you use the built in GUI?”. Desired language wasn’t an option and no obvious way to DL it either.
why are you being taxed more than me? We use the same roads, schools and services.
Is it a question of not understanding or not accepting?
To be fair the absolute majority of online help posts involve the CLI. Want to change language on my Debian install? It’s off to the CLI!
Or maybe decent mobile producers. New Pixels get 7 years of updates, Fairphone 5 gets 10.
It’s a major flaw for those who doesn’t want to learn how to copy-paste to CLI and take the first few steps into the terminal. Which is a valid approach.
I’m too old to pick up stuff from the ground, I use one of them claws on a stick. Also, the 3210 was a nice phone while the 3310 was for the hip kids.
13·9 days agoI totally agree with your approach to choices. I don’t have the time nor insight into politics to make educated decisions so I just flip a coin every fourth year and is done with it. Yet people berate me for my ignorance?!
11·10 days agoI think it’s a rather human thing to do, explaining oneself when refusing to lend a hand. I also think warning friends, family and those I care for about what I consider dangerous to be quite nice.
I suppose we just have to agree to disagree about how we interact and care for our fellow humans.
