People in power are put into or were allowed to seize that power. Not saying 100% of russia is behind putin but enough are. I have not seen the footage but I can imagine they elevated the Russian narrative from “special military operations” to “this is a very real war where Russia started to roll into Ukraine where massive amounts of people died, including Russian soldiers”. If this is the message Ukraine sent to the general public then I support that truth.
