Sounds like something the political parties should be offering education in. “Come to our shindig, have some free bbq, and learn how to vote using current voting machines and mail in ballots! All ages welcome!”

Because people don’t want to change the lifestyle to which they have become accustomed. People who like meat, like meat.
Doing a meat-free Friday is probably a good start, but everyone’s already being asked to make sacrifices in their lives to just get by and most people are already stressed out. Taking away even more of what they enjoy takes its toll. And then of course there’s the meat industry and their lobbying power.
Honestly we just need to start desalinating. These droughts are just going to continue and may even get worse. Freshwater is going to start getting very expensive and it will start getting baked into the price of things like meat. At least with fruits and veggies there’s indoor farming that can cut down on water usage.
I seriously doubt Netflix will put it in theaters at all, and if they do it will be in a handful to qualify for awards season. When the studios own the streaming channels, there’s very little incentive to release movies in theaters anymore.
So I tried playing from Plexamp on my phone to my tv as airplay/plexshare. This kept the phone app alive so I could rate songs, but it didn’t work very well running in the background. Kept pausing/stuttering at first but eventually started working. 🤷♂️

Check your cell service provider to see if they offer any spam blocking services. T-mobile has an app you can install that will block some of these calls for free.

The narration of The Expanse audiobook series was really well done.
Does the Hail Mary narration get better? I listened to a sample and the child’s voice in the beginning was like nails on a chalkboard to me.
I’d like to see a cost comparison. I’m guessing all that battery storage cost less than the price of a nuclear reactor over its lifetime.
.gov.uk actually exists. So yes, countries outside of the US use .gov.
.gov (.gov.us) is used in the US to distinguish between commercial sites and sites run by state, federal, and local government institutions. It helps cut down on fraud. There are a few fucked up government sites in some states that use.com because ICANN isn’t doing their fucking job.
There’s also .mil for military sites. And .net for internet service providers. These were the original oldie domains. I’m not opppsed to adding .blog to the list, but I despise all of these confusing random cash grab domains that ICANN approves these days. “.social” is really just an org, and “.biz” is really just a com.
How about we just go back to .edu .gov .com .org?
Hmmm. His appearances at Trump rallies are starting to make a little more sense.
It’s interesting that they’re concentrating so much on this now. Most lithium car batteries last at least 10 years if not longer. Not many EVs have reached that point yet. Maybe older Nissan Leaf and Prius models? And after that, these batteries still have enough juice left to be used for power back up installations. At end of life they are finally ready for actual tear-down recycling.
I’d be more concerned that there aren’t going to be any movie theaters left at this rate. The studios own all the streaming channels now — they’re going to cut out the middle man.
Maybe Nielsen data will finally be accurate for a change.
How is this company not out of business yet?
When you don’t pay teachers what they are worth, this is what you are left with applying for these jobs.
That is some buuuulllllshit.
