is “easy anti-cheat” a brand name? Or was that just your wording?

You’re essentially allowing different game companies to install a rootkit on your computer so you can play a video game.
Put like that, makes it even more obvious how insanely stupid slash desperate slash addicted some gamers are, doesn’t it?
Only if those other partitions are not encrypted. Sure, it could still wipe them - but that’s something that backups are good for, and something you would certainly notice immediately :)
Honestly I didn’t mean to attack you, I tried to make some suggestions and argue some of your points :) My experience as a tech savvy user is that I regularly have to fight corporate IT for permissions /services that permit me to work at full potential, because they keep offering solutions for dumb users and for windows and microsoft based products only. I managed to break free mostly without being self-employed but it was a long uphill battle with stupid people telling me how IT works…
Nevertheless, from my personal experience, corporate IT in non-software enterprises is full of clueless sys"admins" who just go by flowcharts and if that doesn’t help escalate to Microsoft support, and if they can’t help they close tickets as “use as-is”.
Thanks, I wasn’t sure I got it :)
Mobile one absolutely. And they make humans more stupid and the world worse.
this about the mix-up between Frankenstein and Frankenstein’s monster?
So how good did I think my point was? VR is an artificial hype, especially in a time where almost all major game releases lack in story and already put way too much money into graphical effects. It’s a gadget.
I am not familiar with star wars canon lore, but I am very familiar with astronomical data and I have a well-enough grasp of logistics. So I strongly doubt that any civilization would be able to administrate more than a few tens of thousands of star systems, no matter how efficient they are.
let me be the one to say: the only people who “need” VR are those earning their money with selling VR products. No one else in the whole wide world actually needs VR.
Ease of adoption (or appearance of)
Thank you for acknowledging that point. Because since Win7 or so, Almost all major Linux distributions are shitloads easier to learn that any windows environment, no matter how unfamiliar you are with Linux. Basically, all major desktop environments behave like an optimized WinXP desktop.
Shawn is a moron.
“I aimed my rifle at that person’s head and pulled the trigger, but I swear I didn’t want them to die”
Tesla should be broken up and reassembled with zero overlap in management.
And yes, legally it won’t stick, but the shitty south african oligarch should absolutely be tried for murder.
relevance in context = 0
Just submitted a similar comment. Thank you for pointing this out as well.
As much as I despise Putin and his regime, this whole story reeks of bullshit. If it’s possible to “plant an incendiary device” on air cargo, then the safety checks are fucked up, also if anyone seriously wanted to bring a plane down, they’d put a trivial pressure sensor inside to trigger at altitude, not a more complex (and error prone) timer.
Are you victim blaming the killed murdered pedestrians?
Well - if people still trust any piece of software coming from Epic…
