2·20 hours agoI like the idea of AR very much, but for exactly the reasons you stepped around mentioning I’ll wait until I can get my hands on something FLOSS. When I’m buying glasses that are running some KDE AR project licensed under the GPL I’ll feel like it’s trustworthy. :D
30·21 hours agoWe’re under Trump now, they’ll kick him out and he’ll be arrested for sleeping on the streets by tomorrow.
I feel like I’m in those years of You really want a 3d TV, right? Right? 3D is what you’ve been waiting for, right? all over again, but with a different technology.
It will be VR’s turn again next.
I admit I’m really rooting for affordable, real-world, daily-use AR though.
4·2 days agoHe and his nation are in a tough spot I don’t begrudge him any decision he makes at this point.
It just grinds my gears that if I go searching (which I refuse to do) I know it will take me 5 seconds to find a maga citing this as evidence that Trump’s bullying is clearly effective foreign policy and that Zelensky’s cooperation represents an admission that everything said to him in the oval office was correct and OK.
Everyone needs to understand things are only still this absurd because we allow a small percentage of people to live better than any kings from the past ever lived off the backs of the rest of us. Hording the vast majority of our wealth.
We absolutely have the means to prevent people from having to take their kids to fucking work with them but we choose to let billionaires do things like dismantle our government and destroy our international relations instead.
