Unfortunately their Republican supporters does not seem to give a shit, scandal after scandal. So he’s right.

So… what about SpaceX?
I don’t support those deportations. But why not do it yourself?
Housing prices are pretty high in cities. But you can buy your own piece of land in a more rural setting and build a small cottage yourself, maybe a 2 bdrm, 1 bath home. I believe this is possible for less than $100k at the right location. Start with a used cheap RV or mobile home if you have to.
This was a McDonald’s next to the Dallas Zoo…

Launch him into space
If you damage a Tesla enough, there’s a chance the owner may replace it with another one, resulting in monetary gain for Elon Musk.
So no, don’t do it.

If they are German, but trying to type English :)

I wonder if there will eventually be a real Butlerian Jihad

Didn’t see any bullets in that video. The CEO probably just tripped over something on the ground and fell over.

I support diversity, equity and inclusion in giving people the chance to get a good education and achieve good outcomes through their own efforts (with good teacher and mentor support).
For things that are beyond secondary education, I support a race-blind color-blind culture-blind meritocracy where the best qualified people should be admitted to universities and jobs (private or public sector).
These are my ideals. But with that said, today we have none of these in the US. And never had it. Also people and systems created by people are imperfect but people are good at finding loop holes and ways to game any system.
But I still think our best hope is to do our best to support #1. We have the funds to make schools in poor neighborhoods better and pay all teachers more. The outcome of doing #1 will not be felt immediately, it will take generations.
Neither side of the political spectrum does or care about that though.

Deport this asshole back to South Africa

I swear the opinion that Lemmy users have of their understanding of topics which are extremely obviously beyond their knowledge never ceases to amaze me.
This part, he is right though. About himself. Hahahaha! Oh the shame!

In the mean time, it is better US (United States) than THEM (The Hegemony of Evil Manchurians)
There’s definitely very low Asian-American solidarity. The worst bullying I experienced was from a group of Korean American kids in middle school. They would say terrible things to me and call me the c***k word. That hurt the most and I can never forget that experience. Once I hit puberty and grew bigger (I’m pretty muscular) no one messed with me anymore.
There were some mean kids of other races, but most people regardless of race (include Asians) are nice. I’ve been in the US for almost 40 years now and as an adult I’ve never experienced any direct racism towards me and I live in a red state (but in a big city). There are some people that didn’t feel pleasant to be around with, but luckily as an adult I can choose who to be with and who to avoid.
TSMC was never a card. China has been wanting Taiwan since before TSMC exists. Taiwan is in a strategic geographic location that makes it difficult to project its navy. It’s the same reason the US controls Hawaii, Midway, Guam, and many other seemingly useless pacific islands in the middle of nowhere.
