Skullgirls, Vampire Savior - 2nd in SG, 1st in VSav at locals. This happened in grand finals
Under Night In-Birth II [Sys:Celes] - Didn’t do too hot in netplay biweekly. Gordeau matchup takes years off my lifespan.
Riichi Mahjong - skill
Splatoon 3 - Splatfestin’
Also finally published the big secret video essay I’d been working on. It’s about Puyo Puyo.
entirely
Far from it. There are a lot more factors at play that prop our two party system up, and allow the people in power in those parties to put their thumb on the scale in order to favor their candidates.
Splatoon 3 had the Splatoween Fest over the weekend. Same as last year’s event, just a typical Splatfest but with some spooky aesthetics added.
Some games I’m excited enough for to want to spend full price on release. Some games I’ll wait for a sale on. Just depends on the game.
What was the purpose of this thread? To shout at anyone who complains about anything ever with “well why didn’t you vote?”, as if none of us did?
“I voted and things are STILL bad? I was promised everything would change if I voted!”
I’m responding to this. I know you can’t just promise that everything will change through voting alone. So why is this whole thread just you shouting down those of us who feel rightfully disenfranchised about it?
So are you admitting that voting alone isn’t enough? That you can’t just promise everything will be solved by voting?
Because then I’m asking you to stop shouting down the voices of those us feeling disenfranchised by a rigged system.
Expecting to change the system from within is laughably naive. We still can’t pass legislation to replace the electoral college, 24 years after Al Gore got cheated.
Shouting down people who try to talk about real problems with “Well then I guess you should’ve voted!” is obnoxiously unhelpful. Bitch, I fucking did vote, and the problem is still here, so what now?
Multiple people have explained to you exactly how the primaries have been rigged.
Are you acknowledging that there was indeed foul play, just to then handwave it away and say no one should object to said foul play because we lost?
My state has one of the very last primaries, after the outcome is already decided. I did vote for Bernie in 2016 and 2020, but it meant nothing because he had already dropped out of the race by then.
I’m not sure how I feel about this.
In a vacuum, the app itself is a nice value add for your NSO subscription. I like that they have both single-length and extended versions of each track, so you can loop them seamlessly without an intro/outro. Loopable OSTs can be hard to find sometimes, when I was trying to decide what BGM to use for a li’l video essay I recently put out I had to narrow it down to something I could find an extended version of.
But what’s annoying is that this is the only official way to listen to Nintendo music. It’s either this, unofficial rips on Youtube (and I would not be surprised if these start getting taken down), or the seven seas.
I just wanna buy an album and listen to it offline, DRM-free. I want to be able to shuffle these tracks in with the rest of my music library.
But that’s been a problem since before the new app, so I can’t really blame the app for this, can I?
Well, I’ve been trying to put some content on [email protected] and [email protected], but there’s been almost no engagement. I can’t imagine it’d be worth even trying to start communities for even more niche topics than that.
Clicking the “Create a Community” button doesn’t magically spawn an audience of people who share my hobbies and want to post about them.
Super Monkey Ball 1 and 2 got a remaster a few years back.
Fighting games and Riichi Mahjong.
There’s usually a local event for at least one of the games I play every month or so. I travel out to Combo Breaker every year for the big major as well.
For Riichi Mahjong, the local club here meets every week. Haven’t had the chance to attend a big tournament yet, but I’m hoping I can fit one into my travel budget at some point.
What am I supposed to be looking at here?
I can’t lie to you and say that everything will be okay for everyone. I can’t even say that would be the case if Trump loses either, there’s still going to be a lot of frustrating fallout as all the world’s problems do not get solved immediately on election day.
But I can say it is unlikely that anything will directly happen to you personally as a result of this, especially if you live on the opposite side of the world. Remember that the world’s problems are not your problems, and you should not feel like things outside of your control are somehow your burden to shoulder.
Focus on yourself, and just try to make your own life better one day at a time.
