I haven’t experienced any bugs that I can recall, but I was disappointed with Death Stranding too.

I was so hyped up because I love the Metal Gear Solid games so when I heard that Kojima was creating a new IP and it was going to have a great cast of actors supporting it and it was based on a post apocalyptic world where ghosts are attacking people, I was vibrating with excitement.

Then I found out that it’s a walking simulator about delivering packages.

Well it’s all good and great in some ways and check off almost all of the boxes you would expect from a AAA game, except one. It’s just not fun or relaxing or challenging or interesting. I put it down halfway through and I can’t remember who/what/where/why, so now I have to start over or be lost.

It’s just so damn tedious and there’s no sense of satisfaction. Tedious is work and I get plenty of that at work.

TLDR-

North Korea sends troops to Ukraine to fight/die for Russia. Tells them that if they are captured then they must commit suicide or be labeled a traitor. Some soldiers fail to properly kill themselves and are captured.

The thing that’s driving me away from windows is how pushy it’s gotten. Forced updates, ads, AI, OneDrive, and subscriptions. I just want to be able to turn on MY computer and do what I want or need without having my guard up that I can’t trust my home PC with my privacy.

Windows 11 is ok, but is frustrating to use and I can’t trust it not to screw with settings and there seems to be something annoying added instead of something useful with every update. I also hate the Settings menu, it’s like an unhelpful layer between you and Control Panel the eventually will take you to the same place but took 5 more clicks and searching through drop downs for a link to what you needed.

How well do those work? Is it seamless or do I need to spend hours fiddling with it to get a program to work?

Short version - there’s too many elderly people in China and not enough working age so the economy is suffering. So they changed it to max of 3 but people aren’t interested in having more than one. This will take a long time to recover from. As their society has seen a drastic disparity in age and sex, the importance of women to societal growth means that women have more bargining power to push for woman’s rights. As a side thought, I wonder if this will push China to take drastic measures rather than see their country wither away.

If we can convince the ignorant masses to stop buying based on consumerism and purchase based on well informed decisions instead then we would see a shift in enshittification or at least have alternatives. But that’s very unlikely since it’s easier to conform and fall in line and accept your fate.

I don’t think so, I believe Biden is the real reason Harris lost. She had too much ground to make up for Biden’s stubbornness to realize he was a weak candidate. Trump’s entire strategy was based on how weak Biden was and the party turning against him in the 11th hour only reinforced Trump’s claims. Kamala was doomed from the start, I believe she could have won if she had taken the lead from the start of the race. She wouldn’t have been my first or even my second but I still think she could have won if Trump didn’t have a head start and Dems taking so long to pull their heads out of their asses.

If you mean for political reasons, no, because unless Trump succeeded in creating dynasty that many people are talking about then there is hope that someone will step in and force the government back in the right direction. So this will be a temporary setback.

Now when I mean set it back in the right direction I don’t mean back to the far left either, I mean I hope for a reasonable rational leader willing to work to a better future for all Americans. Both sides have lost what it means to work for all Americans as the president of the USA and not just their party extremists.

As an average low middle class American, life isn’t terrible but economic insecurity and living costs are becoming a major issue that is directly connected to Trump. Cost is up 30% in the last year, privacy is under attack again, consumer protections are being stripped away, environmental protections are being removed, general infrastructure investments are being defunded, public relief and assistance being removed, AI is out of control, and there are fewer jobs being created. While Trump lies and tries to cover it up, he is actually firing people in the government or refusing to release negative data to the public in an effort to cover it up. He is actively silencing people which goes against a core American belief that this country was founded on.
