So PBS Frontline has this new documentary that I watched a few weeks ago, “Biden’s Decision”. As a leftist that voted against Trump, not FOR Biden, I figured I would learn more about his history.

But it was honestly shocking to me that the entire crux of the piece was “Get back up” and “Determination” for all the times Biden ran for president, he himself never really gave a good reason why. Biden decided he wanted to be president, and therefore he spent his whole life running for president, not because he felt he was the most qualified or best for the country. But because he wanted it. Biden wanted to be the one in charge, but historically, he never had many who actually wanted him? Dude only got to the White House when Obama balanced his ticket and then again when his best qualification was “Literally Not Trump”.

So while I am glad he dropped out, and somewhat happy for Biden for achieving a life goal, I guess? Still don’t see a compelling reason to be enthusiastic for the man, yet it was eye opening that no one has ever been enthusiastic for him. Biden stepping down was the right thing to do, just not the thing he wanted to do. Not really sure that is deserving of praise?

Misandry is what some men call women discussing sexism. Look in the comment section of any “man VS bear” content and you’ll see a lot of dudes calling the question “man hating misandry rage bait”.

Msinadry is essentially the “reverse racism” and “anti white racism” for sexism. I’m not dismissing the concepts because there are always outliers with weird predjucies. But patriarchy and white superiority are historical trends rooted in centuries of history, laws and scientific studies, they just aren’t comperable. Even if women and PoC discussing the ways those structures have hurt them is taken personally by some men.

I enjoyed those, but you’re not wrong. The author cited Foundation as his inspiration for the books, and it suffers from all the same problems. Interesting concepts told with cardboard cutout ridiculous one dimensional characters.

I enjoy reading unreliable narrators, and so while you’re totally correct. Holden is nothing more than an angsty privileged teenager who is angry at the world. That’s what made the book fun for me, at a certain point his self serving lies and his cringe attempts to act like an adult are just funny.

I’ve found it’s a good litnus test for people, just like Fight Club or Rick and Morty. You’re absolutely allowed to like these pieces, but if you think those charcters are admiral than it’s a super duper red flag.

The best advice I could give is to follow your happiness first, the label second. When I first started experimenting i felt like men’s clothing was a chain so I tried more women’s, read gender trouble decided that agender made the most sense for me and wore whatever I wanted. It wasn’t until a few months of that did a stranger greet me as “Ma’am” and it sorts stopped my heart.

Once I realized being seen as a woman made me happy, why stop? Why EVER stop? Labels don’t define who we are, but they are helpful little handholds to communicate with others. So instead of telling people that I am non-binary agender who enjoys traditional femininity, I say “woman” because that’s just easier for everyone. That doesn’t mean it’s the only way you could describe me, but it’s the one that makes life easier.

Am I “trans”? I don’t feel “cis”, but I feel like calling myself trans just isn’t accurate and is inappropriate. Is there any other option?

There is no wrong answers and only you can decide on what’s the right one.

I know this is hard, but I’m proud of anyone who interrogates themselves to see what’s truly inside. I’m proud of you for making this post! But try not to worry about what others may feel, focus more on how their perception makes YOU feel. Gender is a performance, but you yourself are the audience.
