The only voice function I use is setting timers and I get so frustrated Google wants me to unlock my phone to do so. I am using my voice because my hands are busy. So annoying!

Get another carrot and when they come home just start chompping down on it nonchalantly. Total power move to establish your dominance.
hardcoreufo@lemmy.worldto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Is anyone else not feeling that patriotic for July 4?7·4 days agoIt’s been almost 20 years since I felt patriotic. I mostly just comfort the dog and hope the yahoos don’t accidentally burn my house down.
Milk is weird. I don’t think any other mammals drink it after childhood, or from other animals.
We still have coffee and creamer, but it’s the worst shit imaginable, just burnt beans and powdered creamer. I was pissed when I went to our HQ in another state, which is smaller than our site and they had a good brand from my city and multiple real creamers. They had a free soda fountain too which we don’t have, but I’m trying to cut that shit outta my life so that’s probably for the best.
So glad I live 5 minutes from work and can go home for lunch. Mostly it’s to see the dog but it’s also nice not worrying about this crap.
I only ever use our group’s mini fridge in our cubicle for a seltzer I drink at the end of the day. Even that is a chaotic fridge filled with rotting food and too many condiments and creamers. I just put a can in to cool in the morning and take it out to drink by the end of the day.
I think in my dreams I already know who they are whether it’s someone I know IRL or it’s someone completely imaginary.

At least it wasn’t meth lite. That shit is nasty.
Well space travel does require some “tasty treats.”
You certainly wouldn’t be in any danger.
I think my dad was pretty up on stuff at the time and saw all the issues the Adam was having. That and Andy Warhol/Lou Reed Amiga ads.
Oh no. My parents had intended to get an Adam but went with an Amiga. We did have a coleco vision though.
My family’s first computer was an Amiga 1000. The office was across from the bathroom and my dad would type in stories for it to speak while I played in the bathtub. Good times.
My first computer was some random 386? my dad found in the trash. I think the power supply was dead and all that needed replacing. Who ever threw it out left a HDD full of cga dos games for me to explore. Only one I remember liking was elite, which I played the crap out of. Felt cool to be the only kid in town with their own PC in the mid 90s.

Forces you to sign up using Chrome.English3·1 month agoI do use it, probably one shoot or so a month. out of every 100 pictures I probably have one great one and 10 others that would be good with editing but I never go back and edit them. A phone is probably better for most people most of the time but there are definitely cases where it wont do the job.
I initially bought it when I worked over night shifts and wanted a night time hobby on the weekends, so I wanted to do deep space photography. I finally got on days soon after and am not up as late anymore so mostly take it on hikes, or birding and rarely around the city.
I rarely talk about it unless I show a picture that people ask “how’d you take that?” and I have to explain. I’ve bought a few lenses in 5 years but think I’m set on those. Maybe in another 5 years I’ll upgrade the body. For me it’s been a worthwhile investment.
Not sure if it will help but sometimes charging overnight on a 5W charger can get it going if the battery is just really dead. Probably the easiest way to ensure you’re getting 5W is a USB A to C cable connected to a PC or laptop. If you have an older wallwart with a USB A port it’s probably 5W charging as well. Could be worth a shot before sending it back.
