I think content warnings would be a better approach to this, all other fediverse software have content warnings anyway. Making community content to force use content warnings would be helpful too.
This is one of my dream features to make lemmynsfw moderation easier, alongside site mods and content warnings (alongside the ability to edit and force nsfw on posts in specific communities… and maybe being able to by default turn off instances caching OUR images as a “do not cache” server flag…)
Sorry, been swamped with things. Will approve accounts now :P
You were banned for posting lolicon. We go on a per case basis of what looks too young for drawn content, and what you posted looked far too young by both lemmynsfw standards and lemmy.worlds. It wasn’t subjective opinion, it was pretty clear.

It’s an overall issue within the fediverse. Thankfully there are tools and ideas being discussed on how to best address it.
What do you mean? I haven’t seen evidence of brigades thus far.
It’s a known issue with lemmy right now. https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy-ui/issues/2072
I actually helped discover the issue and triage it with others, so hopefully there will be a fix for it soon.
Lemmy UI updates broke our frontend that allowed NSFW without logging and we’ve been too focused on other things to be able to fix it
100%, we will implement it when we can :)
Seem it might’ve gotten lost during the migration, we’re figuring it out.
They are causing issues overall, so we can’t really leave them alone since they won’t leave others alone.
By default lemmy as a software, the whole photo database is stored directly into a file folder that links itself to the drive. The entire photos. And of course the drive just rapidly inflates like a balloon since it stores not just local images but federated images
That’s how Lemmy does so by default. I wish I was kidding 🙃
It’s ironic cause object storage for pictrs is a relatively new feature
You can go here: https://lemmynsfw.com/create_community to make such a space if you want to :)

It was. I had a conversation with the community moderator, and concerns were expressed due to the legal grey area it falls under. The mod was not punished nor was in any kind of trouble. The deletion was amicable. I gave the moderator a go ahead previously while it was discussed with the team and while we were figuring out how to best navigate our rules. After a bit more consideration and talk with the team and looking deeper into emerging AI laws, we felt it was too much of a grey area to leave up.
Yay! Some cool new features it seems
