Is this really a cycle? The interesting thing to me is, as others have pointed out, it’s mostly dropped right along with the stock market. Not looking so much like an uncorrelated asset.

Employers are. They may want to decrease premiums, but making changes is difficult and at most an annual event. It is very, very far from a free market in the US.
This is true for any real insurance, but not health insurance. Health Insurance premiums are decided by your employer, someone who has no reason to even be involved. It’s entirely based on how much “benefit” they think they need to give you compared to their peers.

Why does law only matter when applied to workers? They’d be better off just ghosting than pocket lines, admittedly.
