I’m so ashamed. They sent out a phishing test the other day and I was extremely tired because it was like seven a.m. and I opened it and I immediately realized what I had done.
I’m pretty sure the eugenics portion of the film is done more as a gag than a Literal endorsement of eugenics.
Watching the film as a whole illustrates the way in which corporations are not only in positions of power, but are also taking the role of the arbiter of truth. It builds on this by showing how that leads to anti-intellectualism among the masses as they no longer form their own opinions, but defer to those of corporations.
This is just my interpretation.

I agree with you but trust me it isn’t worth debating people with this stance because it isn’t about fixing the issue, it’s about imagining a world where you’re not beholden to absolutely any of the realistic constraints and can wish away any problems.
It’s about as far from pragmatism as you can get.
Fucking tone deaf as shit given recent events.
Both are incredibly unsettling however.

What sucks is this is getting in the way of implementing actual meaningful solutions we have today like better public transit and policy that discourages private vehicle use and flying.
It just damaged mine, it was crashing all the time before I messed around and tried power limiting mine. It was about 2 weeks before it got revealed that it was a wide spread issue.
I don’t think I caught it early enough, though, because I have a lot of problems with my USB controller. It can only handle like two or three devices plugged in at a time before things stop working. But, technically, it still works, so… I think I’d have trouble making a warranty claim.
