Speedrun to getting assassinated by the CIA
But American companies harvesting our data and sending it straight into the hands of the Trump administration and his harem of tech whores like Zuckerberg, Bezos, Altman are a-okay. I’d rather have China harvest my data, because China doesn’t have as much influence over my life here in Germany as the US does.
The real issues pressing western democracies right now. No need to deal with the housing crisis, rising inflation, diminishing quality of life, inaccessible healthcare, widening gap between the poor and the rich (systemic wealth inequality,) and so on. The real issues are trans people, porn, and other pointless discussions. They’ll have you fight a culture war so you don’t fight a class war, and in doing so they’ll tighten your shackles even more while you’re distracted.
What features would that include that the phone doesn’t already have? I’m currently an iPhone user, but I’m looking to move to a more open source alternative.
False flag attack bankrolled by the military industrial complex incoming to drag the US into a war with Iran.
Because the only thing both parties have to offer is capitalism, which inevitably always morphs into oligarchy and fascism.
This seems normal given the fact that Israel is trying to destabilize Iran through different ways, be it social interference through social media networks, or direct cyber warfare targeting Iranian institutions.
Meanwhile Iran sent a few more missiles to Israel last night. That’s how much credibility this clown has.
They are still military airplanes.
This has to be a bluff. That many military planes with their transponders on. I think they’re just trying to send a message.
Because China doesn’t have as much influence in Europe as the US does. Besides that, there’s a higher chance of US companies sharing data with European governments than Chinese companies doing so.
As someone living in Europe I’m more concerned with American companies harvesting my data.

So where are said videos of the massacre happening
Because the sole nature of Lemmy is political. The whole reason it exists is political. People want to move away from tech oligarchs and take control of their own spaces, of their data. Rotting on Reddit while all your data is being harvested and your interactions get turned into shareholder value is very convenient. Being on Lemmy is inconvenient (although it has become less so over the last year). So if you’re willing to ditch a very convenient platform because of your beliefs, and move to a platform that aligns more closely with said beliefs, then it’s fairly obvious why said platform is so political in nature.

You could pick so many more things to criticize China for especially from its past, verifiable events, yet the west always picks Tiananmen Square, making sure to pick the image of the guy standing in front of the tank, but somehow always forgets to show the video of the guy climbing on top of the tank, asking soldiers to turn around to where the protesters are, and somehow forget mentioning that literally half the casualties were soldiers that were set ablaze. Even diplomatic cables at the time either leaked or declassified prove that.
This is quite a good representation of how western democracies work. You can have petty fights about useless subjects and change laws that affect the plebs, but you can’t enact any laws that challenge capitalist interests
