Most recent image I took. Was reading The Burrow by Kafka and realized my train stop was coming up and I didn’t have my bookmark.

Word to the wise stay the fuck away from women who try to separate you from your friends

My opinion is that I hate the government so fucking much it’s unreal. I wish I was Satan so I could devise a new circle of Hell for backers of mass surveillance and personally oversee their eternal torment.

OK how about this actually… All the money came from deleting the existing billionaires from reality.
Alternate premise would be “What if everyone in the world would give you anything or do any service for you for free, feel good about it, and be enriched by it in whatever way needed for it not to be exploitative”

You’re ruining the game!!

The premise is like… magic or something, dude. The premise is not that you are a philosophical zombie and gain billions of dollars through actual capitalism only to one day suddenly gain sentience.

Completely squandering the endless possibilities of being the first billionaire with a soul

I’d probably put an entire university worth of professors on payroll, along with an army of neurodivergence specialists to make it so I could actually make use of them. If I had functionally infinite money I could become so fucking gigabrain. The saving the world stuff should go without saying since we are all ensouled beings unlike the ghoulish husks who actually have billions of dollars.

Good for you man super virtuous and all but that’s not the premise
I don’t think any natural thing exists for a reason. That’s reserved for things made or at least caused by sentient beings.

Handy at times but worse value overall compared to a regular UPS
In order to believe complements one would first have to receive them

No, it’s completely right. At the time of writing, it did literally mean all able men of fighting age. This was determined by the supreme court in 2008. That’s not to say there weren’t specific militia organizations, but it’s not what the amendment is specifically referring to.

It’s worth noting that at the time of writing, the words “well-regulated militia” referred to all fighting age men of sound mind. It wasn’t a thing to join or train for.
We look both ways no matter what because that’s the protocol and the protocol keeps us safe. If you believe it’s safe to deviate from the protocol, you’re opening up a chance to be wrong. It’s that simple.
My chemistry teacher told us this when we were first handling dangerous chemicals and it’s stuck with me ever since.

I have yet to be emotionally moved by a single piece of AI generated content, and not for lack of exposure. I am moved by human art on a daily basis.

I really don’t feel that it’s devaluing art. Slop has always been slop whether AI or human generated. Real art takes an artist’s soul put into it and I don’t see AI replicating that. If anything it just highlights the importance of passion in art.
I don’t say please and thank you to any inanimate objects whatsoever and if I were to begin doing so (which I will never do) computers would be the very last to receive that treatment from me. Personifying computers is not practice for how to treat people. Fuck clankers

But I don’t want to be nice to strangers on the internet, I want to take it out on you cause I can’t take it out on people in real life
The book is called “The complete stories” and it’s all his fiction other than his novels. My buddy lent it to me, I’ll probably pick up my own copy when he wants it back if that says anything. The Burrow was a story from the perspective of what seems to be a mole, his meticulous process of planning and constructing his burrow, and his endless anxieties related to defending it. I loved it.
