6 days agoI blocked lemmy.ml, hexbear and ‘Lefty Memes’ on this instance. All of those posts disappeared. I swear it’s like the same 10 people just spamming it.

100·12 days agoBoss calls me (the sole on-site IT person) on a sickday and tells me something important broke and I need to come and fix it (45 minute bus ride one-way). I know exactly what broke and I tell her if she goes into my office and turn my computer on then I can remote in and fix it in literally 5 seconds. She nearly screams at me saying that my contract doesn’t allow remote work and I don’t remember what exactly was said after this point but it was something along the lines of:
“It won’t be fixed for another 5 days then because I’m not coming in today (Thursday, and I don’t work Fridays or Mondays).”
“Ok bye”
“bye”
Guess it wasn’t important

one I don’t want to pay for, but also one they don’t actually give me. My apartment is still missing several doors and I’ve been here for a year now. They don’t give a fuck. You’re also setting it up as if I have a choice but to be serviced. I don’t. I don’t earn enough money for my bank to want to give me a loan, even if I wanted to be in debt, to buy even the shittiest house on the market here, so I don’t have a choice but to live under the thumb of a landlord.

From a safety perspective, pedestrians in a road is already a huge issue.
Olympic level mental gymnastics are required to believe that the pedestrian is the safety issue in regards to the hunk of rust flying past family homes.
Stop driving dangerously
Man the fucking moment a pedestrian steps onto the street they live on it’s “taking over the entire road” but roadside parking on both sides is normal. Fuck off.
