The most annoying thing was them adding that bullshit to my current mouse’s software without warning.
Logi AI prompt crap I don’t need or want, that I can’t disable, keeps starting up if I kill the process, eating 5-10% of my CPU cycles.
Thankfully there was enough backlash to knock that on the head and they now let you disable it but they seriously got caught up with their own hype there.
Youtube’s recommendation algo is insane.
I get 2nd amendment nutcases telling me the dems are gonna steal my guns and trans women are gonna rape all my family in public toilets.

This is surely a “I have no food, it’s midnight, shops are shut and I haven’t eaten since breakfast” discovery.
Haven’t done it in ages but I used to run xquartz on a macbook and do x window forwarding from my desktop. It worked surprisingly well, even on remote sessions via an ssh tunnel.
I don’t have much reason to do it nowadays because laptops are so much more powerful and storage is so cheap that the stuff I was doing can all be done locally.
There’s a firefox extension that generates the cli command for whatever video you’re on. Let’s you check boxes for the format, sponsorblock, etc and then copies it to your clipboard.

That’s awesome!
Whoa I’m a stickler for getting as much as I can out but even I have .zshenv and some other too hard to figure out things in there. How’d you manage a total wipeout?

I love multiplayer shooters, obviously hate cheaters. If I have to install a rootkit on my primary machine to play and still come across cheaters, I may as well just get a console with heavily discounted hardware cost and peace of mind that the only thing people can really abuse are xim/cronuses. Also it feels nice that everyone in the match will be on a level playing field in terms of hardware specs and I’m never tempted to buy a new graphics card, CPU or cooling just to eek out a few extra fps.
Crossplay off all the way.
What’s your reasoning for this?

Care to share the name of the extension? I feel like I should probably use this!
Wouldn’t go for a full ARM64 system (yet anyway). Too many software incompatibilities. You can pick up the lenovo m-series tiny machines used for dirt cheap and have full x86 compatibility and way faster specs + expandable storage/ram for (m93p tiny, m700, m720 etc). They’re a little bigger than a rpi and use a bit more power but it will save a ton of headaches.
Making the switch to any linux distro is a big jump already, you don’t want to create unnecessary problems.
