If you live in the southeast, Midwest, or Texas/Oklahoma I can almost guarantee you the head football coach is the highest paid state employee by a considerable margin.

There’s a level of apathy that has been a part of American politics my entire life, the logic is that all politicians do is make promises that they never fulfill and anything said about or by a candidate really doesn’t matter, and it’s treated as an axiom.
Obamas years in office without the Hope and Change we all desperately wanted when he was first elected cemented this in the minds of my millennial peers and it was already pervasive in the older generations.
Not pinning it all on Biden here but his quote from 2020 “nothing will fundamentally change” is very much what i reckon the average American believes. Very few believe anything good or ill could happen here.
I put a 5 inch blade in a bag I used for work that I totally forgot about, for 2 full years and flew all over the US without anyone calling me on it. I’m glad that TSA provides employment for so many people but they are in fact a joke
Yeah this gonna be easy to support
He did the voice of Tommy Verceti in GTA Vice City, but yeah he was pretty rad
The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia is about murder
In The End, Numb, Crawling, One Step Closer, Runaway, Place for My Head… motherfucker I hadn’t really thought to much about it before
Naw, hell fucking naw, they’ll have to kill me
Really glad I’m not the only one that saw it
I agree, I’m just stating that if it doesn’t come from their own, which it never will because they insulate each other from consequences, it won’t have much of an effect
Theoretically but I’ve never seen a Christian in a position of power called on that
More like they think everyone should feel guilt about it
This probably wouldn’t go as well as you might hope, this just gives them the opportunity to say something like “I know I’m not perfect which is why I’m thankful for the grace of my savior Jesus Christ”.
Its actually a feature of Christianity that you can sin as much as you want after you do the magic prayer, they are technically supposed to try not to, but the inevitable failure is due to man’s fallibility
Further cementing that the only founding father anyone should respect in 2024 is Thomas motherfucking Paine
Even in the sequels it seems Papa Palpatine did lots of self cloning
Don’t threaten me with a good time
A less than fun though experiment is to comb through the past 10ish years and think of how something could’ve made it stupider. It’s really hard on a macro historical scale and it’s not even limited to geopolitics, sports, industry, entertainment it’s all one big ball of stupid shit
It’s the PNW equivalent of mixing Florida and Mississippi together
This effectively changes nothing for me, I’m no fan of Harris or Biden, but they ain’t fascists
