No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•I’m small down there and get my fiancé off with a big dildo. Do you see any issue with this?
22·23 days agoNo way - you straight up say she enjoys having sex with you, and you’re making sure she’s taken care of. Who cares how it’s done - you enjoy it, she enjoys it, and you both get to finish. I see nothing but wins here, king.

2·25 days agoYup, and you’ll see the idiots I droves coke to defend it, too - “but the water resistance!” As if they’re swimming with their phone or something. The S5 was fine for using in the rain and getting splashed.
When they removed SD cards from the more recent phones, the idiots were out there in droves telling me how nobody uses SD cards but me. Crazy what some people are willing to store on somebody else’s computer, and how much people are willing to over-pay for storage. Absolutely wild.

20·26 days agoNope, in fact I got good at IT shit because it seldom worked and I had to do the work of troubleshooting and figuring things out. And times were better because we had that ability.
There’s been this stupid drive of “user friendliness” = removing useful power features from software.
Now everybody just expects things to work, and they don’t care about having any ability to learn about it or fix it, and we’re all paying for it. Things are likely getting shittier over time specifically because of people refusing to learn and accepting “If it doesn’t work, I guess I need to buy a new thing”. Fuck that line of thinking - if it’s digital, it can be done eventually. It’s just a case of figuring out how, or waiting a bit for hardware to get to the point where it can be done.

31·1 month agoIt is heping Plex by adding to their number of users and further justifying their enshitifcaiton.
The correct move is to uninstall it and use an alternative.
Accepting enshitifcaiton and the downward trend of the status quo is why we have enshitifcaiton and the downward trend of the status quo.
Companies know users will just accept shit rather than be mildly inconvenienced or uncomfortable for a bit while they learn something new, even if it’s a million times better.

31·1 month agoThe entire side service they’re they’ve been pushing where they want to inject their own streaming crap into the media server. The whole point of Plex used to be for you to host your own media collection, and was relatively hands-off. But sure, continue to support them by using the software and inflating their numbers. Don’t cry to me when better options crumble and all you’re left with is a completely enshitifed app, what do I know? Lmao

23·1 month agoI don’t care about my Plex pass, I care about the basic service getting shit on. The pass was never meant to give me a premium product, it was meant to support the devs and give me a few minor feature perks.
I’ve used Plex since 2009-2010. I’ve watched it change into the trash it is becoming. People should trash it and move to Jellyfin.

23·1 month agoI’ve been using Plex form 2009-2010 and have watched it slowly enshitify. The purpose of the software was to allow people to host their own media server and making it accessible anywhere. The pass was a nice way to thank the devs and get some small perks. Now it seems like they are yet again stripping features from basic users.
The op’s stance of “I have a pass so it doesn’t affect me” is further supporting and encouraging the enshitifcaiton of what used to be a good service for anybody. Jellyfin seems to be the way to go now.

67·1 month agoYou’re saying you bought a pass, fuck all the people that didn’t buy a pass. Sure other people could buy a pass, but why would you want to encourage them to do that and incentivize the further enshitifcaiton of Plex?

2010·1 month agoThis is total “fuck you, got mine” energy. You’re part of the problem. As somebody else who owns a Plex pass, I’m done with their bullshit. I downloaded Plex as a way to serve my content to my devices. These morons lost their way a while ago and became a dump, and clearly it’s not getting any better.
Hopefully this latest big-brain move of theirs drives more users off their shit platform to one that’s better.
But you have a Plex pass, so I’m sure it won’t affect you when the money disappears and the company folds lol.

101·1 month agoI regret buying a Plex pass years ago when the project was still pretty good. I wanted to support the devs, but now I hope that they continue to develop this shit app so they don’t move on to ruin things like Jellyfin.
