  • Pittsburgh has some of the worst drivers I’ve ever seen. Running red lights and waiting for yield signs to turn green is the norm there. I’ve seen at least 5 accidents caused by a Pittsburgher stopping at the end of an entrance ramp to a highway.

Unfortunately my car was finally sent to the body shop after 7 years dodging people, and 3 months from leaving the city by a lady who decided to make a left turn from the right lane. Luckily I always have a dashcam running, no one was hurt and the police wrote her a ticket. This lady was a high level Karen, and went ballistic when I asked if she was ok after she crashed into me. Best part was when her husband showed up 10mins later and apologized to me for his, “dumbass wife” who just knocked the mirrors off his truck.

  • I understand, and I definitely don’t fault anyone who likes the show or stuck through it. I just feel like too many shows I’ve been watching lately hasn’t been worth the slog to get through, and it’s been killing my excitement for franchises.

For example I haven’t watched house of the dragon because game of thrones rushed ending, Picard season 3 because of season 2, and I fell off the marvel train after Wanda vision, falcon and winter soldier, and she hulks endings, all shows that either ending in nothing burgers or wtf I guess we need to end somehow.

  • I don’t think anyone who sat down and watched through the first 3 episodes can honestly say the show is being review bombed. Im enjoyed Ashoka and Boba Fett and I honestly have no interest in wasting my time finishing the show.

It’s like the nothing burgers of the Disney star wars comics. The Darth Vader series was great, and I love the idea of bleeding light sabers red. But everyone other series leading into the last Jedi was a waste of time, and I bought and read every single one.

  • The problem isnt woke, the problem is CW level writing. I’ve watched every episode of star Trek up to season 2 of Picard and the writers of discovery not understanding the speed of light, and it feel like the writers are just in qualified for their positions. It’s so bad.

The writing for all the previous shows all had their highs and lows, but characters acted within their characterization and had genuine motivations. Picard season 1 was a rip off of mass effect and old man’s war, with the facade Picard shoe horned in. Season 2 you have him chummy with a cold blooded murderer who faced no consequences.

I liked discovery for the first few seasons, but the plot holes, inconsistencies, and poor characterizations, left me feeling like watching the show was more habit or chore. I also never really felt like I got to know characters because their actions are so off the wall that you don’t figure out the algorithms of their personality and motivations.

I honestly feel like lower decks has been the best Star Trek made in this new era, but I haven’t seen brave new worlds yet or Picard season 3. I just needed a break after Picard season 2.
