aurelar@lemmy.mlto News@lemmy.world•Men are opening up about mental health to AI instead of humans91·1 month agoIt would be nice to have my own privately hosted therapist trained on all the mental health knowledge known to mankind.
aurelar@lemmy.mlto News@lemmy.world•Men are opening up about mental health to AI instead of humans13·1 month ago💯 It’s my experience that humans just don’t want to hear it or deal with it. And for people who don’t trust the mental health industry (many for good reason incl. prior abuse), it’s the only option left other than reading self-help books, websites, etc.

aurelar@lemmy.mlto News@lemmy.world•Why many Americans are rethinking alcohol, according to a new Gallup poll13·2 months agoThere are lots of biased meta-analyses that have gained sway in popular news articles recently. There is also a neo-temperance movement that some scientists who participated in these studies are a part of. Science isn’t as unbiased or objective as many people think it is, but people who think they’re smart for “listening to the scientists” are easily deceived, because they don’t bother critically examining claims that are apparently scientific.

I’ve been using Linux exclusively for more than ten years. You’ve made the right choice. As if you needed anyone to tell you 😆
