That’s the CEO’s next paycheck
That’s the CEO’s next paycheck
Regedit is about 10,000 times more complicated than Windows users think the Linux terminal is
If it’s Boeing, I’m not going.
Paint.net has to be the one piece of software I really miss from Windows, I still have Krita and Gimp but I used to use all 3 on Windows for different purposes
(Well that and VR, but ALVR recently updated to fix audio issues so that is at least coming along)
I’m reminded of fox news saying star wars is to woke these days “that’s why I like star trek”
So that’s how they save money on the vitamin water for the more well-performing employees!
Never seen it either but it feels like we are months away from order 66
At least with the ones on the steam deck this is solved (for me) largely by software emulating the momentum of the trackball
Personally on the steamdeck gyro, once I got used to it, has become indispensable for a lot of games to solve this sort of problem
What are your thoughts on the Steam deck’s Touchpads? I’d love to see them in a thumb ball type formfactor
Hopefully I’ll have dementia by then so I won’t remember how amazing computers used to be.
I swear this is the only explanation for people claiming Windows gets a good version every other version.
You always install Nvidia drivers through your distro app store/package manager never the website.
I have seen so many youtubers tell people to download Nvidia drivers through the browser it’s not even funny, just sad
People need to make sure they are doing the right thing before declaring themselves experts and telling other people what to do
The typical user used Windows since before they became scared of change, so that’s what they’ll stick with.
In some ways this was me, then win 11 came around and I really didn’t like it, and it was pretty unstable for me, so I was stuck between two options for change, neither being what I would call “comfortable” (I had to, win 10 was blue screening literally every other day) which was when I saw the steam deck announcement, (also the LTT Linux Challenge) and I haven’t given win 11 a serious try sense
They would claim it was deepfakes and he would become the new Elvis, spotted all over the place years later even though he was dead
Depending on the distro there really isn’t to much to learn, at least not for basic use
Personally after I switched it meant less time futzing with my computer, it just does what I want when I want
And when I want to install software 99% of the time it just involves searching discover (the KDE software manager) and clicking a button to install
I do not miss the complexity of doing things in Windows
I’m an obsessive classic Doctor Who fan and I too oftentimes do not like the absurdity of modern Doctor Who.
This appears to be what they are using to track progress
Mod support, a level/Campaign editor and a GM mode for multiplayer
In that case you don’t pay for windows anymore, right? Right???
