applemao@lemmy.worldto Technology@lemmy.world•Wikimedia Foundation's plans to introduce AI-generated article summaries to WikipediaEnglish5·1 month agoThe mind is a muscle. Don’t ignore it. Especially now, if you use your mind you’ll be light-years ahead of ai addicts.
applemao@lemmy.worldto Technology@lemmy.world•Wikimedia Foundation's plans to introduce AI-generated article summaries to WikipediaEnglish106·1 month agoMaybe people should actually learn to use their brains so they can read slightly more difficult articles. Holy shit are we gonna have some idiots running around in 10 years. Didn’t think we could get dumber but here we are. (I’m not including people with learning disabilities obviously, they may need an article written or summarized differently to grasp it).
Yeah exactly or they just say we are trying to be superior and annoying tech autists xD
Thats the thing…there’s no way ill convince people to get off discord now that they just got comfortable with it all.
Have you noticed more and more people “blank behind the eyes?” I have. Like a real life ai model.

Tbf if you play games like pubg or bf1 bf5 etc , you need windows. Otherwise, windows would not really be needed at all.

Yeah this doesn’t seem right. Im not sure my router supports running a vlan and allowing certain services through to lan
I just saw that i have a vlan/iptv setup that I can apply as a bridge on the guest network the tv is on. That seems right ?
I think netgear makes the guest network a subnet.
Im going to look into a vlan with all exceptions. It’s a nighthawk router so I think it has those features. Haven’t gotten around to putting dd wrt on it yet

You guys are basically geniuses as far as im concerned, and I have a good library of content to look back on now when I have time to get into it. The hardest part will be coming up with a project so simple that I can do it, but one thats interesting enough for me to actually stick with. Maybe something at first like, at 6 pm on Tuesdays, it flashes a gif onscreen. Or maybe a super simple text game.
applemao@lemmy.worldto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•How can children be introduced to digital technology and the internet in a playful way? At what age is this appropriate? And how can this be done without exposing children to all the negative aspects?2·2 months agoI think this is true but current society and AI especially will drive them to be lazy and grow up reliant on instant answers if parents aren’t careful to keep that trash away from them
Correct, it’s because the government found a cash cow with trucking companies. If I recall something like 80% of diesel cost is tax. Truckers pay for our roads and bridges, to a point.
