Yes! I am a Marvel fan, but wasn’t super into What If but that episode was so damn cool and the language was faaaaaaaantastic!

No idea what you’re referring to. Can you provide an example?

I totally get that.
Public districts around here pay more than private and charter. As I live in the Chicago area, I have a wealth of districts I can go to beyond CPS (Chicago Public Schools) because the burbs are so close.
Yes, pay is not great for all the things that teachers have to do and are responsible for, but I don’t care. My wife brings in the bacon these days anyway as she’s a tenured professor. I’ve dealt with corporate life for over 20 years, been through layoffs multiple times, tired of the stupid corporate lingo and being in marketing where I was basically a propagandist for brands, and I like having the same time off that my kid has.

I legit like Clancy’s brand of chips or cookies over the major brands for some reason. Their take and bake pizzas are huge for the price! I know my wife tends to save on some meats and things when she shops at Aldi. I’m a fan as well.

Mother fucker has never been in a school before teaching kids who snap them, bite erasers off, and sharpen them to make the world’s tiniest writing utensil ever.

It could be, too, that their stores are getting picked over for the things they want. Perhaps it’s out of stock the second it comes in because others are just buying it up right away.

I was in the midst of a career change that I instigated myself with the blessing and support of my wife. I was substitute teaching while trying to break into the tech field and found that I actually loved subbing! So much so that I am more than halfway done with a Master’s program for Elementary Education.
There is a teacher shortage and I’m male, which is an underrepresented statistic in Elementary Ed, so I’m pretty confident I’ll land something. I’m taking a pay cut, but I enjoy the teaching and the positives it brings to children’s lives to have a good role model and someone that cares about them while being excited to explore new information.

Cool, so Christmas isn’t a holiday? Then go back to work on this regular ass day, you fucking douchebags.

I would love to know the reasoning why they think they are persecuted. I legitimately cannot fathom how, in America, Christianity is persecuted.
Dude, you’re supposed to see a doctor after just a few hours.

Yes, you’re correct if we want to get technical.
However, I have a difficult time believing that most people truly think that using sentence ending punctuation is default passive aggressive. If I wanted to, I could read “great.” and “great” both as passive aggressive. The default takeaway of a response shouldn’t be negative, it’s just an answer using a rule that indicates that I’ve stopped my reply.
A good reader looks for context clues to decipher meaning. In the end, if one is unsure then just ask for clarification. Starting with a default negative view indicates to me that there is something deeper going on with that person.

Yes, you are correct. They are people and not things.

Nah. It’s not subjective. It’s the result of fucking imbeciles that don’t read.
That was meant to be angry because taking correct punctuation as some sort of slight is stupid as shit.

Nah. Keep it and redecorate and/or repurpose it. Then rename it to something super woke. Spend as little money as possible since it’s probably coming from our tax dollars to do this shit every four fucking years.

Keep the ones happy who will enforce national gestapo and an at-home war on dissenters. That’s what this is. A bribe.
When Lemmy was in its infancy, there were beans. Now they’re back, and more magical than ever.

Because I’m NOT comparing it. You need some serious reading comprehension practice. You’re all riled up for the entirely wrong fucking point that I have repeatedly said I am not arguing.
Good gravy.

No. I’m really not trying to equate that at all. Using “I’m indigenous” as an excuse to imply that you’re beyond criticism is bullshit. Everyone can be criticized. Everyone has skeletons.
You’re trying to pull words out of nothing. All I was responding to was the whole “ Im indigenous so 🤷♂️” comment.
I am a 4x year old father that voted for Kamala, and my 11 year old son does a lot for various charities without me asking him too. He’s been choosing a charity to help children, LGBTQ, immigrants/refugees, etc for the past few years by selling lemonade during the summer with 100% of the proceeds going to the charity. I am involved with groups dedicated to opposing ICE and authoritarian groups in the USA.
I may be White and male, but not all of us are monsters or want this.
