I am sorry to hear that. Do you mean the chaos computer club with CCC? In my experience the CCC is incredible accepting and welcoming for everyone no matter who. I hope you give them another chance, they do important work.

My friends had about the same amount oft issues with their thinkpad as me with the fw.
I agree, that there are many issues, but you don’t notice them in daily use.
The support is very good with most people, I seem to have bad luck, but once I got someone helpful, it got solved super quick.
I still recommend fw. I wish they would redo the fw13 and improve upon all the little issues everyone had, but mine still goes strong and I hope it will for many years to come
I would not even say so. It tool me maybe a weekend to und erstand the concepts. I had no other selfhosting experience before. Specialy docker compose is almost plug and play

I recsntly set up my PC again and had fomo when selecting a distro. First ai helped to choose, just tell it what your requirements are. Second, its Linux. After the installiert you can do whatever you want with it. Just pick one if the 3 best fitting ones
I can only recommens to get into hobbies like building dioramas, electorincs, music (there are daws linke bitwig or ableton aith free trials, its in the PC as well though), Start some sport, i like bouldering because you basically sit around all the time and then climb some routes. Or be creative with cooking! The only thing is to just start doing something new. Its always fun!
To be honest there are 4 things that combine in a bad way. Sorry if that is too forward, I don’t know you and its just what I’ve read here. Tony take it the wrong way.
- you seem to have very high expectations of yourself, which is great but you burn out quck that way. You seem to not want to give up and fail
- you seem to be stuck in your day to day rhythm
- you seem kind of burned out or depressed
- you seem to have a lack of input, variation and aktually kind of life
Try to break your day to day cycle and be kind to yourself :)
I recently ready about the atomic bombs again, so the us has quite the history of being a silly goose. The bad part about it, the us does not seem to learn from their mistakes and show remorse, but rather not talk about it and brainwash the west with patriotism

I think there was something with the screen, trackpad and fingerprint reader? But its long ago, so idk
I haven’t read a single positive comment here, which is to be expected in this community. But to be honest I kind of like the idea of an AI assistant that keeps track of my schedule, knows about my friends and what I am doing. Of cause I would not use gemini and am happy that i dont have to care about it with e/OS. But something that helps me keep track of things and can help me with stuff seems interesting. I’m interested to hear reviews of it
