  • Robertson is the proto-torxs. It is a vast improvement over Phillips but has a tendency to snap the head off due to the increased amount of torque you can apply. Torxs maintains the amount of torque that a Robertson can apply, but adds some material back to the head giving it a little extra strength.
It’s really unfortunate that the greed of Robertson and Ford got in the way of such a vastly superior design.

  • Doctors often do rounds at the hospital first thing in the morning. There could have been an issue at the hospital that kept them, or maybe there was an unexpected influx of patients getting hospitalized the night before. People tend to ask the people around them about their doctor when they are looking for a new doctor. So, if there was an accident at a factory, or even just food poisoning from a church gathering, it’s not surprising if a large number of the group have the same PCP or GP.
On the other hand, many doctors are just narcissistic shit heads with God complexes who don’t give a fuck about us mere mortals.
My pcp is often running late, but it is because he specializes in diseases that affect the elderly like diabetes and heart disease. So he often has to go to the hospital unexpectedly. On the other hand, anytime I’ve ended up in the hospital, he’s been there first thing in the morning making sure that they aren’t screwing up my medications, which they always are.

  • If he was willing to pay all that he would have hired legal employees who would then have actually had things like unemployment insurance to help them if something came along and caused him a sudden drop in business. But by hiring illegals he was able to be "competitive"with his prices. Which of course is another way of saying steal business from companies that hire legal employees. So, he not only screwed over the illegals working for him, but also every employee at every company that would have otherwise hired legal employees.

So, you were not only protecting yourself from the heat, but also waxing the slide? Holy shit dude. That’s genius… and if your slides were anything close to the 7-8 ft death traps near where I lived, then it was also completely fucking insane. I never even met your grandma and now I miss her too, she must have been hell on wheels in her youth.

At first I was like, “lol, what kind of dumpster fire is this going to be?”, and then I started listening to it and holy shit that’s awesome. I’m going to have to go back and read the captions so I can see what the fuck the song is about (my luck it’s some pro-nazi bullshit) but music wise it is fucking fire, hell even the video is decent.

Actually, it looks like it’s anti-political corruption. That’s fucking awesome. And the lyrics are fucking amazing. There’s some serious poetry, humor, and rage rolled up this thing.

  • I fully get what you are saying, and I wish I believed that we had the leverage that you think we do. But, I think Netanyahu actively wants Trump in power, and I don’t think Biden has the power or ability to really do anything to stop him. It’s not just Netanyahu either, it’s Putin, Farage, Erdogan, Meloni, Le Pen, Orban, and all the other conservative/fascist leaders out there. And as bad as Biden is, a Trump victory is 10x worse. I don’t think Netanyahu would have pulled any of this shit if there was no chance for Trump. I honestly think that by threatening Biden, you just emboldened Netanyahu to do even worse. The greater the atrocities that get committed, the more likely that Trump wins, then he’ll have free reign to really do whatever he wants. Sounds like a win-win for Netanyahu.

Range anxiety is not just about a single trip. You are assuming that not only will we all be able to just charge whenever and wherever we park our cars, but that we’ll never fail to do so. You also assume that only one person will be driving the car. If I forget to plug in my phone it’s not a big deal. I can just plug it in on the way to work or bring a battery pack. And it is not uncommon for my kid to bring our car home on empty. And then of course there are broken charges and unreliable utilities. I can’t even count on a reliable internet connection wherever I go and that can be supplied wirelessly. I have lived far enough out in the country before that I’ve had to deal with range anxiety in ICE vehicles. The threat of running out of gas before you can make it to a gas station is a very real and stressful issue. I can only imagine how much worse it is going to be when it takes more than just a gas can and a few minutes to get you going when you screw up.

  • Yes, these stories are either outright lies, or are about rich people not being willing to wait their turn. Meanwhile, here I am drowning in medical debt, putting off getting procedures done, and trying to decide if I would rather just live with my dental problems, or risk getting kidnapped and murdered in Mexico, because they have so many Americans crossing the border to get dental work that they have not one, but multiple top tier dental towns.

  • That’s not the advertisement that you think it is. If you think about it for even a moment you’ll realize that it’s because we prioritize the wealthy in the US. Sure a rich person from Canada can come down and get a procedure in a moment’s notice but how many Americans have to leave the US to get the procedure themselves or even worse are never able to get it at all?
