But I’m already boycotting Telus because they’re a terrible service and company

I guess I’m not his target audience, I haven’t seen a single one. I don’t watch cable tv, read the newspaper, or use Facebook though like old conservative people.
I thought it would be interesting to have a negative space golf course, where the entire thing is hard packed sand, except for the rough which is slightly looser sand, and instead of sand traps you have Grass traps, where it’s just a small area with uncut 6-12" tall grass that you need to shoot out of.
Yeah I’m Canadian, our system works fairly similarly. We vote liberal or conservative, but the leader can be different depending on the party vote.
Our Trudeau could still decide to not run for PM next election though if he decided not to run.
Your party can’t tell you to lead the party if you weren’t voted in as part of that party since you didn’t run at all.
If only leaders could step down before the inevitable loss for the good of their voters and their party… Cough Biden… Cough Trudeau… Cough
A replacement candidate wouldn’t have been an issue if they held a primary, which didn’t happen because Biden decided to go along and try and be president until he is 86
Everyone always disparages the cost of public transport but how much does it cost to maintain these highways every year? A few dozen/hundred billion dollars across the country?
Probably old enough the parent thinks they’ll be fine on their own for a bit, but young enough to be a hassle to bring along on a “short” errand.
It’s because Democrats don’t worship Biden as some Jesus reborn patriot whereas Republicans worship a literally prideful, envious, slothly, wrathful, greedy, gluttonous, and lustful old man as some Jesus reborn candidate.
Someone I lived with temporarily kept the processed parmesan cheese (the dusty stuff in a jar) in the cupboard instead of the fridge. It baffled me.
I pay most of my bills with my end of the month paycheck and the middle of the month paycheck is for necessities/savings/fun stuff. Mostly necessities/savings though.
Sounds easier to make a human shaped robot than to make something else than can climb stairs as well as do everything else needed efficiently.
Maybe a different shape would be fine if they never needed to climb stairs or go up and down curbs, like rolling around everywhere, which we already see in some restaurants with the little programmable serving robots.
They must have so many criminals just popping off RPGs everywhere, sounds dangerous. Remind me never to visit wherever this ‘prosper’ is.
Trump cult will just claim it’s all the more likely the jury was rigged.
It’s because that’s the level the average American can understand.
Lots of healthy, happy people with disposable income.
It’s really not that difficult to wear a seatbelt, I don’t understand the people that don’t. It’s less restrictive than the belt holding up your pants and it’s not like there is an annoying shoulder strap.
Not the original you replied to. And I had a typo when trying to spell typo 😂 just adding to the conversation. Wasn’t disputing you, just meant the may have meant refresh rate instead of resolution. Easy mistake. It’s still quite disputed how well eyes can tell the difference in refresh rates.
I imagine it was a typo*, but this article in Nature reports that in specifics circumstances the median maximum that people can perceive a difference may be around 500hz, with the maximum in their test possibly being as high as 800hz.
Normally though it seems closer to 50-90hz, but I’m on the road and haven’t delved too deeply into it
Edit: Type to Typo
It’s pretty much impossible to move a tank anywhere without it pointing at something or someone. You can’t exactly point the barrel straight up or down to the ground. I imagine it’s probably a bit harder to accidentally fire a shell than the trigger mechanism of a firearm.
