Site is up for me, hasn’t gone down even once in the past few weeks.

It’s not drastic considering the circumstances, the instance is unmoderated their admin isn’t available, that’s as good a reason as any to defederate them. The instance also doesn’t have a blocklist, it doesn’t block any instances it’s also on outdated software and being unmoderated that is a recipe for disaster.

I just looked at the instance list and they’re literally federated with burggit.moe so yeah I would definately describe this instance as a timebomb very much worth defederating, there actually aren’t any instances blocked on here on rammy which seems nice until you realize just how many known awful ones there are that are connected and accessible to rammy.

This shouldn’t even be something being debated, the instance is abandoned, people are posting hateful content, and it’s federated to the worst of the worst instances on the fediverse.

Lemmy.world defederated EH a while back and now the same people from EH are posting wild on rammy.site, seems like a pretty cut and dry argument for defederation to me, if the admin were here and cleaning these posts and communities up that would be different but he’s not and they’re still here so best to treat is the same as EH because for all intents and purposes it is the same as EH.

Defederation is not censorship. It is refusing to listen to or platform things that you don’t agree with i.e. bigots or nazis. Lemmy.world has defederated exploding heads so it stands to reason that they wouldn’t want to listen to the same assholes spewing the same crap on rammy.site

Yep they trash smaller instances until larger ones defederate them and all the users on them. I’m thankful I don’t have many posts or comments on my account but it absolutely sucks that I’m going to need to find another probably less reliable server.

Any suggestions for good servers to use as my new home server? I can’t really host one because I have potato internet in a mobile unit (don’t believe what they say, Starlink is absolutely awful) and I also don’t really want to buy a static IP. Just want a small instance with good uptime like rammy did but better moderation.

My account is actually on Rammy.site, though after what has happened I’m definately going to be moving on, I heard lemm.ee is pretty good.

No you aren’t weird, gender identity isn’t defined by a person’s gender conformity or lack there of. Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable, don’t worry about it making you one thing or another.

If you have any doubts about your gender identity you should by all means question. I’m not saying you shouldn’t. I’m saying the idea that you should wear what you want without worrying so much about what it makes you. You should identify in a way that feels right for you, that’s what gender identity is based on, not whether some piece of cloth is semantically considered feminine or masculine.
