I get this a lot when I make pasta in the shop or the girls are making gnocchi, but we are doing it expecting to be seen. It’s performative and customers like to watch us do it because it signifies that what we’re making is fresh or traditional. It’s a bit different if you’re not expecting to be watched by curious onlookers.

I ended up chargrilling the chicken and mixing the base tomato sauce with some BBQ sauce, topping with lots of cheese and some pineapple as well to keep it juicy. It was a nice change but I don’t know if I’d do it all the time, as I prefer my chargrilled chicken served in other ways.

Minipeelers picked it last night… I’d brought home a couple of garlic and herb pizzas from work and they decided that chicken, bbq sauce and mozzarella would be awesome toppings 😆I’m not in the habit of putting chicken on a pizza so I’m not sure what to do. I’m guessing I’ll chargrill the chicken first, but not too much so it’s not too dry by the time the pizza cooks 😶
Depending on their ages, they sometimes lack the vocabulary to put their feelings into words, especially if they’re new feelings or sort of vague feelings or worries. It’s frustrating because it’s hard to know what prompts to give to get them talking. Sounds like you’re doing the right thing and you’re there for them and they know that, that’s all you can do sometimes.

A Crafternoon! I knew a word already existed for it but couldn’t think of it for the life of me, thankyou!
In the interests of low cost weekend activities, my Minipeelers and I have decided;
to have our own festival,
to do craft about it, and
to call it “Craftmas.”
It will involve liberal amounts of polymer clay and wool, and focus on making Xmas decorations and gifts (for those we would like to give something to, but either don’t want to buy for or don’t know what to buy). I’m really looking forward to it and am actually excited for this!
I did that with one of my shitty home made burritos. Here’s to Cajun food!🥂(That’s what we used to jokingly call it when a chef accidentally burnt something. Sometimes you can smother in creole/Cajun seasonings and burn it a bit more 😉)
I love “From.” I’m currently waiting until I can subscribe and binge watch it. I binged the first series, awesome tv. Then I watched the second season episode by episode as it came out, and the suspense was killing me! Want to binge the third series, or most of it at least!
