I normally cut up the dogs into the mac, and no buns obv. Childhood staple right there.
NGL, I still make it sometimes when I’m on my own for dinner. But now I use kielbasa.

I found a neat one today. So the thing that’s currently working for me wears off right? Therapist suggests that I rotate through my bag of tricks periodically when I start to spin my wheels. The thing is, I don’t exactly recognize when this is starting to happen, only when it’s full blown productivity breakdown.
I told her that if I put a sticky note on my desk to remind me to switch up coping systems that I would become blind to it eventually. I said I would do calendar reminder for every x weeks, but the reminder would be so regular that I’d be predicting it and ignoring it.
She said you need one that goes off randomly but still roughly once a month.
A few test runs of apps on the Play store later and I found one that is minimalist, yet I can customize the range of minutes/ hours/ days for the interval of recurrence. I can remind myself to switch procrastination tools, to water the plants, go through that stack of mail…
We’ll see how long this lasts or if i start ignoring these too. Hopefully they’ll be novel enough to work for a little while.
The app is “Remind - Random Notifications”
I have a generic pair that were basically my shoes for chores around the yard (the yard is marshy in places). I rarely wore them to the store or out in general, but found them really comfortable.
Well, I go and break my big toe a few weeks ago. I have a velcro splint on it, and bought one of those post surgery shoes. It was clunky and awful. The best thing about it was the boxy toe area which helped keep me from stubbing my toe again.
I tried for maybe 2 days to wear it, but then I remembered my crocs. And they have been the perfect toe protectors, plus not being awkward to walk in.
But if enough were detonated, would it create a nuclear winter thereby offsetting the warming trend?
I feel like we did a trial run for this in March of 2020. It didn’t go as hoped.
I made a battery from a potato once. Am I disqualified from office?
A Lemmon Twist?
Ew, did Beetlejuice put his engagement ring complete with severed finger in someone’s wine glass?
Harris Teeter (Kroger subsidiary) -brand “Private Selection” chocolate ganache ice cream. It makes all other chocolate varieties pale in comparison. I let it sit on the counter a little to soften, or I’ll very briefly microwave it if I am impatient. I legit get a nice big eyelid-fluttering dopamine hit with every spoonful.
I used to snack on raw peeled potatoes, but I definitely enjoyed them more if they were cooked/baked/fried/mashed.
I have all these things right now in the house. omg. Yet I’ve already gone to bed and I don’t want the cats thinking they can finagle another midnight snack out of me if I get back up to putter around the kitchen. Dessert for breakfast it shall be!
My honey ordered a cookies&cream milkshake at Fuddruckers once upon a time, and they sadly told him they were out of oreos. We teased them so badly about that, they were shamed into going across the street to the store to buy a bag of oreos. I don’t think we went over the line. I hope. We were trying to be lighthearted about it. and we were very appreciative that they fulfilled our order.
And here I thought the neighbor’s ducks just liked to visit us. 🤷🏻
