Thanks… There’s a lot of reasons why this analogy isn’t going to last now because supply and demand is grade school economics. Check out all of the ways government is subsidizing construction of units. And how does it work when a company is selling units, but they have to have an increase in revenue quarter over quarter? They can’t suddenly sell for less. Otherwise stock price will fall and executive’s will have to take parachutes. Government doesn’t want all these companies to fail, so they prop up the prices. This thing is far too complicated for supply and demand economics. Anyone selling that has invested in real estate

Supply and demand doesn’t begin to explain Canadian housing issues. If I have 10 apples that i sell $1/piece, I’m not going to start selling them at $.75/piecewhen I get 30 apples.

It could happen here, had an episode that talked about drone use in the middle east. They interviewed people that talked about how horrifying it was to hear that high pitched whine. I get that drones are having a moment, but that moments been going on for quite a while. It’s also not going anywhere anytime soon. There’s going to be countermeasures to the countermeasures.

Key point here is that he lost decisively to the pony tail, and was wrecked by Anissa. He momentarily held his own against a relatively weak, and past her prime viltrumite, and didn’t stand a chance against an elite like Anissa. @John_McMurray also makes a good point about Mark’s abilities.

However, I will concede that this is a piece of pop culture, and you shouldn’t have to be a big fan of the comics in order to understand why the cartoon isn’t inconsistent. THAT is bad writing.

It was designed like that for a reason. There’s a lack of one syllable words there, and the ones that are there sound very different. It’s also used for messages that require precision that the average person doesn’t need in day to day life.

He’s incredibly powerful for an earthling. He’s a weak viltrumite. Ircc viltrumites get stronger with age until there’s a steep decline, and he’s around 20. I’m pretty sure Nolan is close to 1000, and hasn’t hit his decline yet. The whole season we watched him get beat up while he tried to do the right thing. That’s largely the theme of the story. Doing the right thing is often harder than not. I loved the comic. I really like kurtzman as a comic writer. Invincible is his love letter to the super hero genre. Later storielines play with a lot of tropes in fun ways. If it’s not your thing though, maybe just drop it?
