From my youth im used to some credits at the start. The big stars and such, but then the comprehensive list after. I have never known the comprehensive list to occur before the movie.

life and death just is and it does not matter if death is good or bad given its nature. Lifes quality though is important and if it does not have enough of it then I will have none of it. Im old enough though that im not looking to survive a horrible decade of facism. Surviving auschwitz if your young enough to possibly enjoy some decades of decentness afterwards is one thing but if your old enough that after that experience you are left with nothing and have to try and “retire” and look after your increasingly failing health. Ill skip that.

Realizing that each human life encompasses a time-space span of generally double digit years and miles. Further that a good life is good but a good death is superior to a bad life. Death is inevitable but it is a choice to “experience” the apocalypse.

oh yeah. older you are the better prospects you have and the younger the worse. we can all see that. Heck even late boomers are down vs early ones. Silent generation you have things sucking when you were a kid but from there everything pretty much got better. Boomers never saw it bad till the very end of life. So they traded bad times between young kid and old age. Xers got to see and experience good times when young and experience the slow decline in early adulthood. millenials got a glimpse of the good times but never really got much of a taste and grew up when the decline was slow but the fast decline was their adulthood. Im concerned Z and beyond don’t even have a perspective of better times and fall for it can only be so good for the average person.

lets not forget browbeating the fed to drop interest rates before covid hit.

I agree whole hardheadedly. Felt like my last company was like that which was funny because they were also ultra paranoid with security which seemed like a conflicting thing.

Historical context is not merely opinion. It boggles my mind that you can use the phrase objective news given whats currently considered news compared to historic context that being further from spin and given verification time is has solid facts.

Then half of npr articles are not news. There is breaking news then there is looking at current issue from a lens of a bit of time. I like those the best actually as breaking news tends to be full of fud but with a few months of time the picture becomes more clear. Then there are things like this taking a current issue and comparing it in a historical context. I find those valuable as well. It would not appear if we were not in a new gilded age but since the same mistakes are being repeated its relevant. Half the article talks about what is going now.

I swear I heard terry savage talking about how down the road it could be a good thing on the morning news. I was one room away and I can’t be exactly sure but man if the fud is actually being taken up. wow.

I hate when that happens and im too embarrassed to mention anything so I just politely finish up and go on my way.

Many things in government do not do well with move fast and break things attitudes.

Understandable. Missing so much. The return of crimea. Payments for starting the war and rebuilding of Ukraine. hundred miles of russia past the boarder turned into a buffer zone controlled by the UN. Arrest and trial of putin and other collaborators.
