Congrats on that one.
Overnight success 😁
I’ve already created around 6 communities and mod an extra two across this account and my alts so I kind of have my hands full here
Also if I had the energy to make and run a community I think one I’d love on lemmy is probably c/fivethirtyeight or c/guerrillagardening so I’d probably prioritise one of those.
That’s probably a good explanation. Pretty much everyone of these podcasting guru type people start of centrist or leftcenter then once they start to mix with the big leagues and make lots of money, all of the sudden they become right wing figures.
Joe Rogan, Lex Friedman, Andrew Huberman, Bret Weinstein
Man, I miss the r/decodingthegurus reddit sub where we could make fun of and expose these dipshits.
Ditto and ditto
He used to be pretty progressive and had Bernie on his podcast. He used to be in favour or medicare for all, legalising weed, etc.
idk where he stands now though.
I listened to the man until around 2018, by then it was starting to get clear he was becoming increasingly “macho” and elitist so I stopped.
From the dude who endorsed Bernie Sanders in 2016. What happened Joe? You went through the batshit crazy alt-right pipeline during COVID didn’t you…
All 6 voted for Haley in the primary.
The damn capitalist fish.
Hey. I’ve gone to pro-palestine protests too. It’s illegal to support a terrorist organisation, not to support Palestine/Lebanon etc. those are two different things, cheers.
Just because I suppport the Palestinian people and their liberation does not mean I support Hamas. What’s illegal though is to publicly support one of these organisations. The law is tricky but basically either pushing for terrorist acts, or displaying designated terrorist symbolism, or provide support to a terrorist organisation. This all can be found here:
https://www.ag.gov.au/national-security/australias-counter-terrorism-laws
a state like nevada. It’s gonna be real close but if you do the math in 98% of scenarios it won’t matter who wins it just because of how the electoral votes puzzle together.
Wait does that mean I’m an illegal voter under state law lol?
Might consider that a lot of people have alts, maybe even 5+ alts, and there are a lot of bots.
40,000 monthly active users is probably a more useful number here.
Good for them. Potentially means we won’t have election needles tomorrow though.
the main reason is because the people who run lemmy.ml are actually the people whi created lemmy.
Also welcome.
[email protected] and [email protected] are useful for new users.
Also if you’re looking for an instance that has ML defederatrd but is still well federated with everything else I recommend lemmy.cafe
I don’t wish for that either, but what I mean is I would have expected mods from other instances to be more weary of the potential legal issues.
Same. That’s what I mean by reusable bag.
Hopefully you can find a couple people to fill in the mod team.
If my experience on lemmy is worth anything, pretty much any community where the majority of posts are in picture formats, and where the content is accessible/understable to most, usually grows pretty quick.
