The government owns everything? Wow, amazing. News to me. Care to show me how they own my house or my business? In fact, what do they own again? I can think of a few utilities and parts of the medical system, but they don’t have a lot of ownership outside of those.
Yes governments determine who can live and die, that’s kind of their job. They implement safety regulations so people can live, and they don’t have infinite money to give to doctors and hospitals so some people do die. They allow cars to drive around which kill people, but also license and regulate them so they aren’t as bad as it could be and their use as a tool is balanced with the harm they cause. These kinds of decisions also have nothing to do with communism.
Enough people won’t unfortunately. I fear the social backslide that’s going to happen as a result of the next election simply because people blame the liberals for global inflation despite it happening exactly the same in conservative-run countries.
