These things are like door locks. The point is to make it harder to pirate than to pay. This doesn’t mean people won’t pirate. Just like a door lock doesn’t mean people won’t burgle.

If it took a long time to open the door because the lock is too complex, it is the lock maker’s fault not the burglar’s fault. The solution is to buy a new lock.

  • They believe that the status quo is better than any alternatives. They have not been exposed to other ways of living and those that have lock themselves to basic tribalistic thinking.

Imagine trying to get a sports fan to see the benefits of being a fan of another sports team. Even if they aren’t personally playing and their team isn’t winning they maintain loyalty. Some even bet on their loser teams and lose money just because of loyalty.

It’s all about team loyalty/ tribalism

  • I feel like more people need to just take a chance on new music and new to them music genres. I locked myself into the rock of the ‘60s-‘70s for a long time and refused to open up to other genres.

But I got over myself and I love the current wave of pop. There are always new good songs coming out and the best way to find it is to plug into online communities that like music generally. The radio and things like Spotify are terrible at helping you find things.

You’re getting awfully close to sounding like the psychos who say that all fossils are invented or placed on earth by the devil to confuse humanity about the age of the earth.

Most mounted dinosaur skeletons contain real fossils. Many museums have diagrams showing which are real and which are recreations of fossils that were missing or too damaged to mount for each specimen.

Paleontologists can determine what the missing fossils looked like based on other specimens and looking at what they have in context of other similar species that have more complete skeletons.
