In the original Batman comics, Alfred didn’t raise Batman after his parents were killed; it was actually Bruce’s uncle, who was a wealthy aristocrat. Alfred joined the Batman cast years later, after Dick Grayson/Robin first appeared.

For a Batman TV show, what if this actually happens: Bruce’s parents are killed, he lives with his uncle, then leaves at 18 and comes back five years later. His uncle hires Alfred Pennyworth as the Wayne Manor house manager, and he’s 10 years older than Bruce. So instead of a father/son dynamic, it’s more of a brotherly or best-friend type of relationship.

Now, if you aren’t a Batman fan, you might not care—but this question is mainly for Batman fans: would you want to see something like this?

I know the premise of Absolute Batman is that Bruce Wayne is a middle-class civil engineer, and sometimes struggles to stay awake at his day job because he’s exhausted from being Batman. And the Joker is a 1%er. Not sure his the cops are portrayed.

Absolute Universe is incredible. Sometimes altered versions of well known characters doesn’t sit right, but the Absolute Universe pushed that so far that its its own beautiful thing. Really enjoying all of those comics, not just Batman. Wonder Woman is particularly cool.

My post was for people who think exactly like me and who won’t disagree with me

That’s always the best basis for a healthy discussion.

No, it’s honest—you are not a real fan. You are objectively not, and here’s how I know: because you are one of those people who just hate Batman because he’s popular. Your arguments are used by people who are not actual fans—that is a fact. Again, can you please explain to me your opinion on Blue Beetle, Green Arrow, and Sunspot?

Absolute Batman is poor as fuck, but he can afford a mining dump truck, fuel for it, the supplies to customize it, a secure place to hide it, and the list goes on.

Also if Martha is alive and if hes working class then why be Batman in the first place?

And why are criminals afraid of this dude?

What does his mum have to do with anything? She’s not his dead girlfriend (a.k.a. the only reason to become a superhero). Or is she?
