    Yeah, the most widely shared experiment from what I can tell is:

    “Pythagoras conducted a scientific experiment demonstrating that humans and beans were spawned from the same source. He took some beans and buried them in the mud. They rested there for a few weeks before being removed and investigated by the great Greek philosopher. He concluded they looked like human fetuses.”

    But even that doesn’t actually have any decent evidence.

      “Experiment” is a tool of the modern science. The usage of this word in this context is not appropriate.

      There is no evidence. There either is a source which mentions this or there isn’t one. I have not seen, nor found such a source. The story is most likely made up by some modern idiot.

      This story is also beyond ridiculous. I wonder how many human fetuses an average ancient greek has seen, but surely, it can’t be that many.
