Search “The long march chinese movie” on Youtube. You’ll find a few.

I watched a few minutes of one such movies, but the movie felt too different from what I am accustumed to so I stopped watching it.

My favorite one is “March Against Japan”

Its not actually about Mao, but it is about a KMT soldier who gets rescued from a Japaneese prison camp by Communists and joins them to save his village from the Japaneese

Age of Awakening: Not a movie but a television series showing the establishment of modern China. Has young Mao in it. Is good if you want a good historical recount of how and why modern China was established.

matrix: it’s a metaphor or protracted people war, neo is mao (coincidence?), agent smith is imperialism, and the matrix is the west propaganda
