At the end of the day this adaptation has no reason to exist, and I have no expectation it’ll be any good. Hope I’m wrong, of course.

There’s really no way for it to exceed the original, and if it doesn’t, it accomplishes nothing. But Disney and everyone else will keep pushing live actions because they’re low risk, most fans will watch out of curiosity.
