Did the PCV write it off as a mere inter-imperalist war, where both parts are to blame, and not a result of The West expansion towards Russia in violation of previous agreements?
Yes, they did, there are a few groups like this lying around. They’re using the same cherrypicking used to condemn “Venezuelan imperialism” over Guyana-Essequibo. Same that Konstantin Syomin is using to denounce Hamas as an Iranian proxy (turning the genocide into an “inter-imperialist war”, which is essentially a byword for “I don’t give a fuck about this yay” in this school of thought). I can walk you through the history of the colonial claims on that region & how it relates to Venezuela’s independence if you like.
Adding a little curtsy about how the US aggressed after using the Minsk agreement to buy time doesn’t take away from this idealistic abomination.
