“An electric spark is an abrupt electrical discharge that occurs when a sufficiently high electric field creates an ionized, electrically conductive channel through a normally-insulating medium, often air or other gases or gas mixtures. Michael Faraday described this phenomenon as “the beautiful flash of light attending the discharge of common electricity”.[1]”

"As the difference between the charges in the bottom of the cloud and the earth below it builds up, the first stage of lightning begins.
When the electric field becomes very strong (on the order of tens of thousands of volts per inch), conditions are ripe for the air to begin breaking down. The electric field causes the surrounding air to become separated into positive ions and electrons — the air is ionized. Keep in mind that the ionization does not mean that there is more negative charge (electrons) or more positive charge (positive atomic nuclei / positive ions) than before. This ionization only means that the electrons and positive ions are farther apart than they were in their original atomic structure."

All it’s saying is that, well if God is the Supreme Creator, then He created the phenomenon lightening. The heavens sent down the rains, so too was is believed that God cast down the lightning sometimes. It shakes the Earth, lights up the sky, and does make a mighty boom when it strikes, no? This verse is a poetic description of a natural phenomenon if anything.
But too, does it beg the question, “Where does lightning really come from? What makes it strike? It brings an enourmous flash of light, thunderous booms, and Earth shattering, tree splitting force everytime.”
The contents of the rest of the page generates lots of questions and continually proposed that electricity is just a fluke and there’s no understanding of how or why. But the article was written by either an idiot or a liar because the reasons are known. Nuclear reactors are purpose built to make electricity. It’s safe to say that the vast amount of electricity on the planet at any given time is manmade and deliberate.
The formatting of the page is familiar to all of us because it’s a common layout: ask questions, intrigue the reader, then show how a thing works to answer those questions. The Bible verse at the end is the button line that connects it all - it’s the thing that’s standing up the whole line that the page is describing. Electricity is simple and understandable but this textbook makes it out to be magic and then finishes the page by talking about a time when skydaddy make magic too.
The entire thing is disingenuous and if you aren’t able to see that then you are either trying to sell people on sky daddy or you don’t know how page educational literature works.
Where does the charge in electrons themselves come from? If equivalent exchange is considered, and factoring into account the question “what truly, deeply, absolutely, unknowingly, creates the energy of all life and motion?” It raises a lot of questions. We know it’s from food and water, what we take in, nutrients, materials, matter. But, what makes these reactions occur to begin with? Can you explain to a 6 year old the absolute truth of why there’s gravity, space, and time? How? What it is precicely? Explaining relativity completely? What is IT? Do you actually, wholly know? Can you truly say time travel is, or isn’t possible, and why, with your arguement standing the test of absolutely every possible counter study/experiment/real attempt?
Also, do you know when this was written and published in relation to every known fact at rhe given time?
You are, however, currently standing several levels of seriousness too deep inside a shitpost-quarry.
Oh… and please try to avoid doing this:

…as opposed to the book, which teaches the lesson of being content with lukewarm non-explanations, vague and misleading descriptions, objectively false statements framed as controversial debate, and promoting ignorance as universally encouraged value by swiftly declaring there is nothing else to know, thus dodging the question and going for a distraction with a contextually completely unhelpful bible quote.
And your apology is wholeheartedly rejected, because I know it is standard practise of religious rhetoric to quickly apologize when called out, but learning absolutely nothing in the process and keeping up the assault on rational thought under a veil of “open discussion” with disingenuous questioning, argumentative foulplay and all the other kinds of fallacys, formal and informal.
TLDR: You are the one in dire need of doing some questioning of beliefs.
Yeah but we literally know what lightning is, why it happens, etc. I’m no electrical engineer but I can tell you 90% of not only what electricity is but how it comes out of the walls.

You can literally see and hear it , you could even touch it briefly if you like.
The irony of this page ending with a bible verse that specifically references lightning …
I mean, this obviously has to be satire, as lightings are pretty much visible electricity
It’s rhetorical gaslightning

Lightning is an effect, not the cause itself.
"As the difference between the charges in the bottom of the cloud and the earth below it builds up, the first stage of lightning begins.

So, what exactly, precisely is that atomic force?
All it’s saying is that, well if God is the Supreme Creator, then He created the phenomenon lightening. You’re just proposing the God of the Gaps, and that god keeps shrinking every day.
I never proposed any God. I just included the fact that the Bible existed.

Variant quote: Any technology is indistinguishable from magic when observed by a sufficiently primitive person.
