100% agree. I really enjoy the app and Kuro has done amazing work, but this logo misses the mark tbh. I’m definitely no graphics designer (just someone who knows enough to make shitty memes), but the alignment is all over the place with this logo.
Often things need to be off center, and not perfect circles because of how humans perceive things…
But here it’s is really flawed, and doesn’t look good or professional at all.
Replying to myself here, but I was bored on my lunch break and playing around. You can have the logo centered and still have the Lemmy face, but at small sizes (like a phone’s app icon), you’re definitely going to lose the small details (ears, nose, whiskers).
If there’s an actual graphics designer out there, feel free to steal anything I’ve done haha.
